Aurora's POV

I look at the clock, it's 4 am. I get out of my white silk covers to get ready for my special plans for the day. I stand up and stretch for about ten minutes, and finally decide to hop in the shower. As soon as I step out of the shower I hear my front door open, I quickly wrap the towel around my body and peek around the corner. My dad is talking to a police officer, I listen in to see if they mention my deceased mother.

"Crap" I say and the officer turns around to see where the voice came from, I dash into my room and lock the door.

"Why is this officer still coming around, they dropped mom's case so there is absolutely no need to keep bombarding us with questions." I say then put on a black crop top, jeans, a flannel and my Adidas on.

I put my curly hair in a ponytail and go into the lounge where my dad and the officer are discussing my mom's death

I put my curly hair in a ponytail and go into the lounge where my dad and the officer are discussing my mom's death.

"Oh Aurora what a lovely surprise, though I wouldn't of expected you to get up at dawn" my father says turning around and facing me.

"Yes well I couldn't help but realize we have an intruder in our home coming in and interrupting our healing process one again" I say glancing at the cop. The officer looks to his feet and rubs the back of his neck.

"I apologize, it's just procedure." I turn to my dad and scoff.

"Procedure? No I don't think so, the case was dropped so leave my family and I the fuck alone!" I shout and whip my head in the opposite direction and walk towards my bedroom.

"I apologize for my daughter. You have to come to the realization that she's in much pain right at the moment" I hear my dad say as I exit the room.

I smirk as I make my way to the bedroom, "oh how his little angel can't do any wrong" I say sarcastically to myself. I look at the clock, it is now 5:40. I grab my bag from off the floor and place it on my bed, then I go into my closet and remove the piece wood from the bottom of the closet floor. I take the revealed object that I placed in that very spot. I take the pocket knife from the secret hidden place and put things back the way they were. I walk over to my backpack and place the knife in my bag, grab my dad's fire resistant gloves from under my bed, put that in the bag aswell and zip it up. I swing my bag onto my back and head towards the front door.

As I pass the lounge room my father stops me.

"Aurora you're leaving very early, your bus won't arrive until 7:00" he says walking in my direction.

"Yes dad, I am aware of the time. I'm walking to school and before you ask me any further questions, I'm going to meet up with a friend before school starts. So, goodbye" I say and exit the house.

I start walking down to the gas station nearby my house. I go inside the store and see the clerk walk into the bathroom leaving the register vacant. I look around for anymore customers and workers then snatch the lighter from the counter. I leave the gas station with ease and make my way into the woods.

I walk deep into the woods until I get to my designated area. I walk to the tree stump besides the river and grab the gasoline I had stashed there beforehand. I then go over to the large pile of leaves. I put on my black leather gloves and dig into the leaves. There lies the corpse of my own mother. I drag her body close enough to the water so I can easily toss her in. I grab the container of gasoline and drench her body in the liquid, afterwards I take the stolen lighter out of my pocket and light the body. I watch my mother's dead body burn, I stare at her with not one hint of regret. The fire got to big so I pushed her into the river that looked like it was headed downstream.

After the deed is done I run over to Sage's house before anyone notices anything out of the ordinary. I get to her house and knock on the door, luckily Sage answers.

"Oh hey Aurora, I thought we were meeting at school?" Sage says leaning up against the opened door.

"I just couldn't sleep so I decided, why not just stop by" I say with an appeasing smile. She steps aside allowing me to come inside her home. I step over her foot and enter her home, I'm in the clear for now.
