Lauren woke up and felt for Alex's body amongst the blankets. When she felt nothing she grumbled and climbed out of bed. She checked her phone which said 9:30, and grabbed Duck. She proceeded to climb back in bed, longing for the body heat admitted by Alex. "Chicken Tender?" She called out she heard water running in the bathroom and rolled out of bed. "Baby?" She knocked on the door. No response. "Alex." Lauren said more seriously. She tried turning the handle to the door but it was locked. "Alex!" Now Lauren was frantically pulling at the handle and struggling. A million thoughts ran through her head. What was wrong? Was he asleep? Was he shopping and she had just imagined the water? What if the haters had finally got to him? The last one scared her the most. She broke down in tears and raced to the kitchen ripping the door opener and tried to breath despite the salty taste of tears in her mouth. She stuck the stick in the key hole and turned the door knob. The door flung open and Lauren fell to the floor. She spotted Alex laying beside the bath tub and ignored the water spilling over the edges of the tub, and grabbed Alex by his shoulders. "Baby?"
