KENDELL

We were getting a package when people just started shooting. I seen Cardell body fall to the floor I ran to him.

"Cardell man you gonna be okay" i said picking him up. "Ion know bout this time" he whispered his eyes got lower

When we got to the hospital they took him to the back,he slipped into a coma for a quick minute so I decided to talk to him,

"Cardell man you cant die on me. You suppose to be the man of the house,I miss mom just as much as you but I dont wanna be up there. You gotta get up for Laila,What would Lai think about this. Loosing mom was hard on her but loosing you will kill her." I said. "Well she on her way up here she gonna take it bad but hey Its coo'" i walked out

I stopped the nurse. "Make sure my brother get the best care money can pay for" i told her. "We will Mr. Lopez" she said thats when I seen Q, Trent, Lynn, Junior, Killa, Dani and Laila, my friends

"How is he doing?" Laila asked. "He is in a coma he was shot in his chest" i told her she started tearing up Lynn pulled her to the side.

"Do you know who did it" Q asked. "TMG" i said. "We gonna get them niggas" trent told me thats when the doctor came out

"Family of Cardell Lopez" he asked we all walked up. "As you know he is in a coma,the bullet is close to his heart we gonna do a surgery to get it but if we cant he wont make it" the doc said

"Try as hard as you can" I told him he nodded. "I will I known him ever since he was born" doc said walking off I looked at Laila

She was shaking. "Laila" i called her name she just started crying I went over to hug her. She was just crying on my chest,her little heart cant take all of this

"Laila you gotta calm down before you have an ahsma attack" i told her i grabbed her purse and grabbed her inhaler. "Take this your not breathing right" i told her.

I-I-Im f-f-fine,I....Want...Cardell" she started crying more i held her. "Sshh its gonna be okay" i said tbh i wanted to cry but I had to be strong for my sister.

I wiped her tears. "Im gonna go fill his paperwork out,i love you" i kissed her forehead Dani was crying Killa grabbed laila and comforted her.

LAILA

1week later

I missed school for a whole week,all I do is sit by Cardell bed and wait for him to wake up. The doctor even got me a bed,I dont even go home. Killa,Lynn,Q,Trent, Junior, Dani, and the gang visits. Kendell he been okay i guess

"Hello Laila" the nurse spoke. "Hi" i waved. "How is he doing?" I asked. "He is doing the same" she said i sigh "Laila you should go home you know Cardell wouldnt want you here" she tld me

Thats when Kendell and Killa came in. "Wassup Lai" kendell hugged me. "Hey kenny" i spoke. "Hey Laila" Killa spoke I waved

"How is he doing" Kendell asked. "The same" i replied. "Dad called checking on him" he told me.

The machine started making noises and the doctor rushed in telling us to get out I was worried for Cardell. I was pacing back and forth thats when the Doctor came out

"Cardell is awake and is taking visitors" doctor told us I ran down the hall. "LAILA STOP RUNNING" Killa yelled i busted in Cardell room

"DELLY" i screamed and hugged him,I was crying "Laila-bug im fine" he held me. "I missed you" i told him. "I missed you too" he said

Killa,Kendell and Dani walked in. "Bro you up" Kendell dapped him. "Yea I heard yall begging me to get up" he smiled.

"Nigga dont be doing that" Killa said,Dani kissed him I mugged her then shoved her a little. "Delly Im getting you out of this dirty hospital" i told him

"Thank god" he sigh Dani looked off

We were all at Laila house chilling cause my nigga Cardell awake. I was in the room with Laila I was laying on her stomache.

"You getting big,is my baby in there" i joked rubbing her stomache she hit me. "Shut up" she said

"You coming to school,you dont have an excuse either" i told her. "Wateva dont you need to be out handling buisness" she asked

"You tryna get rid of me" i asked. "Yea pretty much" she shrugged "why you being so d**n rude" i asked. "Im acting like you" she told me

"Mane you childish" i told her she gave me the i dont care face. "You know we gotta wear school uniforms now" i smirked

"Thats what I heard" she smirked back. "You gotta look educated" she said. "B***h what you tryna say?" I asked she pushed me

"Get out,you up here disrespecting me callin me out my name" she said. "You tryna call me dumb" i told her. "No,you are smart but now your gonna look like it" she told me turning the other way

I walked to the side she was on. "Im not apologizing" i said. "Then get out" she told me. "You tripping"i held her hand she snatched it

"I aint yo girl so go" she got an attitude. "Come on we are going out" i toldher. "No I look bad" she says,she had on a green and yellow truckfit shirt with her coloful teddybear jeremy scott shoes, jeans

"You look good come on" i grabbed her hand walking downstairs Cardell was talking to Dani and Kendell was sleep

"Cardell Im taking Laila to get something to eat" i said. "She needs to be home by 10 and its 8" he says we left
