A Twist of Fate

Chapter 1

The school's two most popular girls, Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui, are loved by everyone, except each other. But that will soon change.

Camila is walking down the hallway at school with her clique, consisting of Perrie Edwards, Gigi Hadid and Taylor Swift, and Camila's boyfriend Shawn Mendes, when she bumps straight into Lauren and her clique, consisting of Dinah Jane Hansen, Ally Brooke and Normani Kordei. "Hey, watch where you're going!" Lauren almost yells at Camila, but Camila just frowns at the girl in front of her, not saying a word. "hm, empty for words, huh? That's a new one" the girl smirks.

"Just shut up, Jauregay!" Camila yells back and frowns, looking at her. She does not have time to argue with her at all today, even though they argue every day. "Just leave me alone in class, and we'll both be happy" she says and walks past her, going to her locker. At her locker she opens the door, and feels Shawn looking at her "what babe?" she asks him.

Shawn sighs as he places a soft kiss on her cheek "do you have to hate her? And do you have to give her those mean nicknames?" he looks at her slowly. "like Jauregay? and that other nickname you have for her that I dont wanna say out loud?" he sighs a little.

"I'm only calling her Jauregay, because she is gay and her last name is Jauregui. I dont see anything mean in that" she smirks and looks at him, as the bell rings. "I have to go babe. See you later. I love you" She kisses his cheek and heads to class, but as she walks inside, who does she see? Yeah you guessed it. Lauren Jauregay, I mean, Jauregui.

After all the students have found their seats and the teacher has sat down on his desk, he looks around the classroom. "So for this week, you have to work together two and two for this assignment" he says and sees the students look at each other to say they are working together. "but I am the one who decides who work together"

The students, as especially Lauren lets out a big sigh. "Are you serious? The other teachers lets us pair up with who we want, so you should do that too" She smirks as she high fives Dinah, who sits beside her, which makes the students yell out "do that! do that!"

The teacher sighs and stands up, crossing his arms firmly "No. I'm deciding this. End of discussion" he then smiles and picks up a list with who is paired with who. "okay, so Normani and Taylor. Ally and Perrie, Gigi and Dinah. And then we have Lauren and Camila"

"Wait, hold up. You want me to work with Jauregay? No way!" Camila says and frowns at him, crossing her arms "I'm not working with her! I dont even like her. And she doesnt like me!" She says and looks over at Lauren, rolling her eyes "I demand a new partner!" she almost yells at the teacher.

"Yes! I agree with Cabehoe, I dont wanna work with her. Can't we work with someone else? Someone we actually like?" She sighs and sits rests her head on her hands. "we would totally do better with other partners" she says honestly.

"No. Either you two work together, or you fail my class. It's as simple as that. Capice?" he asks as he sees the two girls nodding, and rolling their eyes. "Okay good, so now that is out of the way. Let me tell you about the assignment" he smiles as he leans on his desk and starts telling them about the assignment.

After class, Lauren's clique and Camila's clique gets up and leave as Camila walks over to Lauren "So, since we have to do this assignment, do you wanna come over to my place tomorrow to work?" she sighs and watches the other girl gathering her stuff.

Lauren gathers her stuff and looks at her "Sure, if you want a gay girl you dont like in your house" she raises an eyebrow and looks at her. She stands up, still looking at her "give me your hand" she says and grabs it before the other girl gets to say anything. She writes her number in her palm and looks at her "text me the address, okay?" she says and leaves.

Camila just stands there, looking at her hand and frowns "yeah sure. Just use me as your notebook" she sighs and goes and gathers her stuff. Then she leaves to go home, since it was the last class of the school day.
