"J-Jenna..." I hesitate, sitting anxiously on the edge of my seat. "Why do you have my phone?" Her frame goes stiff and beads of sweat start to pour from her forehead.
"I uh-" she mumbles. "I found it on the computer desk. I was going to return it, but I guess I forgot."
I walk over to her and hold out my palm, while Tyler just sits back in his chair in confusion. Slowly, Jenna reaches into her bag and pulls out the phone, placing it back in my palm.
"Continue with your order," I snark, making her look uneasy. I rarely get angry, but in this situation it makes sense for me to be mad. She just stares at me for a moment, but timidly continues ordering the food. I return to the chair at the table, and Tyler looks at me concerned and confused.
"Did you know about this?" I ask him. He seems slightly taken aback as he raises his hands up in the air as if to say he was innocent.
"Wha- no I... I had absolutely no idea," he tells me. I squint my eyes as my lips draw into a tight line. I examine his expression for a moment before I just nod skeptically, returning back to our work.
We finish reviewing the idea for the lyrics and I return back to the couch, deciding to watch some TV. About fifteen minutes after Tyler and I finished, I hear the sound of the doorbell go off.
Ding. Ding.
"Josh! Could you get that!?" I hear Tyler's voice echo from the computer room. "I'm kinda busy at the moment, and so is Jenna!" I let out a sigh as I sit up and pull out my wallet. They better pay me at least some cash later. I didn't agree to buy these pizzas.
I make my way to the door and I open it up, only to see a twenty-something year old woman with an annoyed expression. As soon as she sees me though, her expression lights up in an unable to be described way.
"I um. h-hi, d-did you get a pepperoni pizza, s-supreme pizza, and breadsticks?" Her eyes are as wide as saucers as she asks me about the order. I give her a smile and a nod as I hand her the money. Her hands are shaking as she accepts it and stuffs it in her pocket.
"Thank you very much," I grin kindly as I'm about to close the door while holding the pizzas and breadsticks, but I see the girl gulp as she places her hand firmly on the door frame. Her voice shakes as she asks me the next line.
"I'm sorry. T-this may seem like a stupid question, but are you the Josh Dun?"
