I didn't see Haru for a while after that, and the rudeness of how I left kept nagging at me, making me feel like an ass. Despite my regret I managed to get out of the house with my best friend Riri. That was a big mistake...

"Oi, Riri? I'm stepping out for a little~!"

I sighed and she just nodded, sitting back down next to her brother before he prodded her up with him to sing a duet. I just walked slowly down the hall away from our karaoke room.

The cold night air washed over me and a sigh of relief escaped my lips. I walked over to the wall and slid down into a sitting position, I pulled my knees up and settled my head on them, my thoughts slowly drifting to Haruka before I deliberately pushed them away. I began slipping into unconsciousness, but a figure sat down beside me and I just stayed there for another moment,

"I'm fine Riri, just tired."

"Yeah...?"

I jerked my head up to see Haru, not Riri sitting next to me. I jolted up too fast and hit my head against the wall. I rubbed it softly and winced.

"Oww..."

"Are you okay?"

"Erm, yeah..."

I winced again and then let my head fall back, but I hit it once more.

"Dammit!"

I rubbed the back of my head intently then started to blush slightly, realizing Haruka was peering over me, a worried expression on his face.

"I'm fine, really."

He just nodded and I stood up, brushed the back of my jeans off and then began walking towards Riri's car. I sat on the hood and Haru sat next to me. We sat in silence for what seemed like forever, before he spoke up,

"I should probably get back before Nagisa starts to worry."

"Mhm, yeah."

We both stood up and walked back towards the building, he opened the door for me and I muttered a "thanks" he had the room across from us and before I opened the door he spoke up,

"Do you think we could meet up at the pool tonight? I have a spare set of the keys..."

"Ah, sure... W-What time?"

"Around eight?"

"S-Sure..."

With that I walked inside and everyone turned to look at me, I smiled and they smiled back then returned to their conversations. I sat down next to Riri and she whispered,

"So... You and Haru, huh?"

I cupped a hand over her mouth and motioned for her to be quiet and she let out a laugh and then changed the subject.
