A Secret

March 17th

Joey's POV

Sawyer found a place and isn't staying with us anymore.Me and Cat have become friends again,but not as close as we used to.I should've never gone to that party,I was so stupid! I miss the connection me and Cat had,it feels like she moved on. I don't even care if we get back together,but I at least wanna go back to being best friends.Recently at around the time the moon comes up Cat's been leaving the house and she won't tell me where.

Cat's POV

A few days after Joey and me talked at the beach I felt feelings for him again.I can't show it,I'm not ready. I don't think I'm ready,at least.  What happened at the party hurt me a lot,I can't go through that again. 

End POV 

"I'm going out." Cat said grabbing her sweater.

"Where?" Joey asked.

"Just,out." Cat said quickly then left.

-Next Night-

"Are you going out again?" Joey asked Cat.

Cat looked up from her phone and met Joey's eyes.

"Yeah,I am." She said.

"Why won't you tell me?" Joey asked.

"Because.." Cat said walking to her room.

-Next Night-

"I'm gonna go out." Cat said.

"Okay." Joey said.

Cat left and got in her car.Joey snuck in his car and followed after her.Cat got to her secret place and got out of the car.She went to her area and sat down and hugged her knees.Cat looked up at the moon as the first tear fell down.

Cat's POV

I come here a lot,just to cry.I still want Joey,I miss him.This is my secret place,just to stare at the moon.Think.

End POV 

Joey got there a while after Cat and went through the entrence.He hid behind a bush and watch Cat.A while later he slowly walked up to Cat,and stopped about 3 feet away from her.

"Cat..." Joey whispered quietly.

Cat turned her head to face Joey.

"This is where you come every night..?" Joey asked.

Cat nodded.Joey walked over to her and sat next to her.

"Why are you crying?" Joey asked.

Cat told him about her feelings.About how she loves him,but doesn't wanna get hurt.

"Cat,I was stupid.I was drugged,she put something in my drink.It will never happen again." Joey said.

"I love you,and only you." 

Cat looked into Joey's eyes.

"When the time is right," Cat said "I'll know."

Joey woke up and in the distance he heard Hitch barking.He got up and as he got closer he heard Hitch's barks coming from the kitchen.Joey walked into the kitchen and saw Cat lying on the floor motionless.Joey started panicking and got down on his knees next to Cat.Joey felt her heart,and saw her stomach moving.

"Cat!" He shouted. 

Joey lifted her head and touched her cheek.

"Say something Cat!" Joey said tears forming in his eyes.

Joey's throat and chest became tight and he couldn't speak.Joey moved quickly,and took Cat to the hospital.The doctors took Cat to a room and stuck needles in her and tested her blood.Joey had to wait outside.

"You can come see her." The doctor finally said.

Joey walked in and saw Cat lying there.He walked over to her and put his hand over her forehead.

"What's wrong with her?" Joey asked.

"We're still testing,we'll tell you as soon as we can." The doctor said.

 The doctor left the room and Meghan came in.Meghan sat on the other side of the bed,and looked down at Cat.

"What happened Joey?" Meghan asked.

"I don't know,I woke up and Hitch was barking.I went to the kitchen and saw Cat on the floor." Joey said.

"Do you think she tried to like....swallow some pills?" Meghan asked.

"I don't know,Meghan! I don't know anything!!!" Joey said almost shouting.

Meghan looked at Joey,she felt hurt but knew Joey was just frustrated.

"Joey,why are you so mad?" Meghan asked.

"Because,I couldn't help Cat!!! If I had just been there for her,I could have made sure she was okay,but where was I? Sleeping!!" Joey said gritting his teeth.

"It's not your fault Joey,stop thinking it is! Cat's going to be okay...I know you're still heartbroken Joey." Meghan said quietly.

Joey looked over at Meghan with tears slowly coming down his cheeks.

Meghan had left and Joey was alone with Cat.Joey watched her carefully,and has been thinking of how he'll get her trust back.

Cat's POV

I felt something soft wrapped around my hand.I felt my stomach moving up and down,and my chest hurting.I opened my mouth a bit and it felt so dry.I look over to see Joey,his phone in one hand and his other hand holding mine.

End POV  

Joey put down his phone and turned his head over to Cat.He saw her eyes staring at him,and smiled.

"Hey,sleepy kitty!" Joey said softly.

Cat smiled at him.Joey scooted his chair closer to Cat and kissed her cheek.

"How you feeling?" Joey asked.

"I'm okay." Cat mumbled.

"The doctor says you should be okay now." Joey said.

Joey helped Cat sit up and gave her some water.Cat leaned back on her bed and rested her head.

"I need to tell you something,Cat." Joey said.

Cat opened her eyes and turned her head toward Joey.Joey stood up and went over to Cat,leaned down until their faces were inches away.Cat looked at Joey's lips,

"I still love you." Joey said before he put his lips over Cat's.
