Smile for Me

Joey was on the couch,Cat was still heartbroken.It was taking Cat a while to get over this.Joey was sitting on the couch with a blanket over him.Cat was stretched out on the couch with her feet next to Joey's leg.

6:00 PM

"Joey,you never told me why you came home so early yesterday." Cat said.

"I broke up with my girlfriend." Joey said.

"Why?" Cat asked.

"She doesn't make me happy.I got annoyed by her." Joey said.

"You're not hurt at all?" Cat asked.

"No,not really." Joey said.

"Oh..." Cat said.

6:24 PM

"Cat,I can't take this.Your eyes are read,and your always crying.I just want you to be happy." Joey said.

"I wish I could,Joey.I'm just so sad.." Cat sighed.

Joey sighed and looked down.He got an idea,and he hoped it would work.He just wanted Cat to be happy.

Joey got up from the couch and got onto his laptop.He went on YouTube and searched up some songs.Joey looked in the corner of his room and saw his guitar.He grabbed it and found a rose laying on the floor.

Cat looked up at Joey,and Joey sat down by her feet.

Joey played a song for her (song is somewhere on this page) and sang to her.Every so often he would look up from his guitar and smile,seeing the look on Cat's face.Cat was smiling more than she has ever since the breakup.Cat felt warm inside,the sound of Joey's soothing voice.Joey ended the song and Cat sat up and hugged him tightly.Joey wrapped his arms around Cat and whispered:

"Your smile is the one thing that keeps me alive."

"I'm nervous Cat!" Joey said.

"You've done this before Joey,you'll be fine." Cat said.

"I don't want my whole tongue to go numb!" Joey said.

"It's okay Joey!" Cat smiled.

Luke and Joey left for the dentist and Cat got on her laptop.

Cat's POV

I'm researching about getting your wisdom teeth out,and it's pretty interesting.It says most of the time since you're put on laughing gas the truth comes out a lot. Joey doesn't keep secrets from me,but maybe he does...

End POV 

Joey and Luke came home from getting his wisdom teeth out.Joey wasn't making any sense with an ice pack on his face.

"Hey Joey!" Cat said.

"Hiiii Caatt..." Joey said.

"Are you feeling okay?" Cat asked.

"I'm not feeling." Joey said drooling a little.

"Is his whole face numb?" Cat asked.

"Maybe,but the dentist said it wouldn't be numb in like an hour." Luke said.

"Should he just,sleep?" Cat asked.

"Yeah,he has medicine." Luke said.

Luke gave her the medicine and left.Cat helped Joey get to bed and Joey slept for hours.

Cat was sitting by Joey on her phone.Joey moved around in his sleep,he was having a dream.

"Cat.." 

He mumbled.Cat looked over at him and saw he wad dreaming.
