yuta didn't like the idea of sicheng being home alone, especially at this late of an hour. i could always lie and say i'm with jaehyun... yuta thought as his mind instantly went to the idea of staying the night to ensure sicheng was safe and sound.

"do you want me to stay?" sicheng looked up as if ready to turn down the idea. "just until your uncle comes back. i don't want you to be alone."

"only if it's okay with you and your parents." he waved off the comment.

"my parents don't mind and neither do i." sicheng smiled and muttered a thank you.

when the taxi reached the border sicheng tried to pay but got stopped by yuta. it took a lot of back and forth arguing before sicheng gave in and stepped out the taxi.

"one month sir." yuta easily paid and went to step out the taxi when the driver called out to him. "uhm... i know this isn't any of my business but stay safe out here."

"thank you." yuta bowed respectfully and shut the door. the two watched the taxi race back down the road. "come on sicheng. lead the way."

after 10 minutes of waiting for a new cab and 15 minutes of driving to the apartments sicheng resided they finally arrived. the apartments weren't the nicest to look at but they weren't completely run down.

the blue chipped paint and rusted locks just needed to be touched up. sicheng fumbled with his set of keys when they reached his door, his ears red from embarrassment. "i'm sorry it's a bit of a mess..."

when he finally found the right key and pushed the door open, yuta was taken back. the inside was small but had a welcoming feel. there were three doors down the hall past the living room / kitchen.

the kitchen only contained the usual appliances such as the stove and fridge while the living room contained a small black leather couch, coffee table and outdated television.

"my uncle lives frugally." sicheng admitted.

"it's okay to live like this. as long as you have a roof over your head and food on the table then nothing else matters." yuta spoke truthfully but also in a way to comfort sicheng.

"i know." sicheng smiled faintly. "let me show you to my room." he took yuta's hand in his and led him down the small hallway.

his room was the one to the right. the one to the far left was his uncle's while the one in the middle was the bathroom.

sicheng's room was spacious for the most part. the queen sized bed rested in the middle of the room while a desk was placed against the wall. his closet and dresser were connected on the other wall.

"you can sit on the bed..." sicheng rushed to fix the tousled sheets. "right after i fix them."

"hey, it's alright." yuta stopped sicheng. "i don't care that it's messy." he ran his thumb across the younger's cheek. "just go get cleaned up."

he nodded obediently, grabbed a towel off the dresser and some sleep wear before leaving the room. yuta kicked off his shoes and sat criss crossed on the bed, running his fingers over the star covered blanket.

"cute." he told himself as he looked around the room. the walls were filled with baby pictures of sicheng and old movie posters, the complete opposite of yuta's. he liked keeping his walls bare.

"yuta you can take a shower if you want. i think i have some extra clothes." sicheng walked into the room, fully dressed with his towel wrapped around his head.

"you're too skinny, i won't fit." sicheng made a face which caused yuta to chuckle. "okay okay. i'll take them."

...

it was about eleven at night when sicheng and yuta were finally in the bed. despite being physically comfortable it sure was awkward for the youngest. sicheng hid his heated cheeks under the blanket from yuta's sight.

he didn't know why sharing his bed with yuta was so awkward even though the two were intimate at the coffee shop when business was slow.

those sweet kisses and touches that went on in the break room were nothing he couldn't handle so why was this different for him?

"sicheng what's wrong?" yuta tried to scoot closer but sicheng backed away. "did i do something?"

"no." he breathed out shakily. "i don't know why i'm so nervous. i know nothing is going to happen but i can't stop the butterflies in my stomach."

"this is all new to you, it's normal to feel weird."

"but i don't want to feel like this." he groaned, throwing the blanket from his face. "i want to lie in your arms and fall asleep on your chest but i–"

yuta cut him off by doing exactly what the younger wanted. his head landed on top of yuta's bare chest, his soft heated skin felt good to sicheng.

he felt safe, secured when yuta wrapped his toned arms around his small frame, keeping him trapped against him.

"like this?" yuta chuckled, his head nuzzling onto the top of sicheng's damp hair. sicheng was grateful for yuta taking action.

"yeah... thanks for that." the butterflies soon died down to rest. yuta's steady heartbeat lulled sicheng into a state of sleepiness. the toll of today finally catching up to him.

"sicheng?" half asleep sicheng hummed as a response. "i love you. i just wanted to let you know."

those three words that held so much meaning awoke sicheng from his tired state. he leaned up, looking yuta in the eyes. "a–are you–?"

"yes. i really do love you. i'll be perfectly fine if you aren't ready to say it back, i just needed you to know."

without words sicheng took yuta's face in his hands, pressing their lips together. the emotions of love and longing were spread through the kiss. the sensation left their bodies feeling hot.

yuta rolled on top of sicheng, pinning the younger's hands above his head. he placed hot open mouthed kisses on his lovers red plump lips. "yuta–yuta.." sicheng panted. "i love you too."

"you don't know how happy i am to hear that." and so that night, the two fell asleep, their limbs entangled with each other.
