#70: You hate each other but they lock you in the same room (Part One)

Start from the beginning

Calum:  You never seemed to get along with him, and he never seemed to get along with you. Whenever you were in the same room, you two would start bickering over the smallest things and they would usually end with objects being thrown against the room. He drove you insane and you seemed to have the same effect on him, and you two had so much pride that neither of you wanted to back down from a fight. You knew that the boys were tired of hearing you argue back and forth over pointless things, and you wanted to spare them, but you just couldn't back down when Calum starts drama. He would throw an insult at you, and you'd throw another one back and it would probably end really messy with a few vases shattered here and there, just like last week. You also ended up breaking a few dishes and glasses when you had dinner over at Michael's house a few days ago, and you two had to clean everything up and apologize to Karen. Things would end up getting really violent and physical, you wanted to stop but he just made your blood boil - you just wanted to win against him once, but it was clear that that isn't going to happen anytime soon. "This is the last straw," you remembered Ashton say, which caused them to shove the two of you inside Luke's room. "Fuck you guys, come on. Let me out," Calum says, banging against the door. "We're not gonna let you out until you make up," came Michael's muffled response, causing Calum to growl and hit the door with so much force. You knew yelling at the boys would make no difference and so you decided to take a seat on Luke's bed. "You know, this is all your fault," You pointed out, picking at your fingernails as he continued to bang his head against the door.  "How is this my fault?" He asked, scrunching up his nose and a scowl was on his tan face. "Well, if you don't provoke me in the first place, all this wouldn't happen," you tell him, causing him to push himself off the door he leaned on. He started walking towards you, with eyes narrowed into slits. "If you just let me win any of our arguments, things wouldn't further escalate and turn violent," you continued, and he was in front of you now, staring you down. He was a fucking giant, and having him tower over you was kinda terrifying, but you were already used to it so you aren't as intimidated by him anymore. He leaned down so his face was right in front of yours, and you glared at him really hard. "Shut the fuck up," he says, but you didn't want to take orders from him. "Don't tell me to shut up you assho-" He suddenly attached his lips on yours, and you could feel butterflies erupt in your stomach. You wanted to push him away, but you didn't want to at the same time. You kissed him back, wrapping your arms around his neck to bring him closer, letting out the anger you felt for him in the kiss. You laid down on Luke's bed, and he hovered above you now. "You're annoying," he mumbles before leaning down to catch your lips with his. His lips felt really good against yours, and you've had your fair share of kisses in the past - this was actually the best one, as much as you hated to admit. You could actually feel yourself melting under his touch, and this felt absolutely magical somehow. He pulled away and your eyes fluttered open, and you saw his eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at you. You suddenly realized what just happened, and you pushed him off you. He seemed to be confused as well, and the two of you sat in silence before he spoke up. "We don't speak of this," he says, making you nod in agreement. As you waited for the boys to unlock the door, you sat there, trying to figure out what the hell just happened and what you felt when Calum had his arms around you, and his lips pressed on your own.

Luke: Most girls love attention, and nothing hurts more than the pain of being ignored or forgotten. But you weren't like most girls, because you didn't exactly like attention. You preferred to just sway in the background and do your thing, rather than be in the front line, at the center of attention. Despite this, you still get hurt when someone wouldn't give you any attention at all, or in short, you get hurt when you get ignored. This was your case with a boy named Luke Hemmings, who was one of your cousin's bandmates. He was a pretty nice kid, pretty charming as well but the problem with him was he wouldn't spare you a second glance. He would always ignore you whenever he was around Michael's house, and it annoyed you that he would talk to everyone except you. It was always like that with him, whenever you would try to strike up a conversation with him or take one step towards him, he would just act like you didn't exist and you grew tired of trying to make friends with him when he would just act this way. You eventually grew to hate him for hurting you like this. It wasn't because you liked him, it was because he didn't know how painful it was to be ignored by people. The feeling of being ignored felt absolutely awful, and you hated how he caused this pain. You were looking for your necklace one day, and you ran into Michael. "Hey, have you seen my necklace?" You asked your cousin, whose eyebrows shot up. Michael was your cousin, you lived with him because you went to the school near his house, you were from another state but the school you went to now was your dream school, so in order to attend this school, you had to live with your cousin. You got along with him just fine though, Luke was the only person you really didn't like much. "I think I saw it somewhere in your room," he says, shrugging. "Why don't you go upstairs to take a look?" You smiled, thanking him as you ascended the stairs and entered your room. You were surprised to see Luke inside, looking around for something. "What the fuck are you doing in here?" You asked, making him turn around with widened eyes. You heard the door slam behind you and you yelped, the loud sound surprising you. You turned around and twisted the knob, trying to pull at the door but you heard grunting from the other side. The boys were doing their very best to keep you from getting out, and it looked like you weren't going anywhere anytime soon. You turned around to see Luke still trying to look around for something and you let out a sigh, tapping your foot on the ground, "What are you looking for anyways?" Luke didn't turn around to look at you but you heard him let out a breath, "I'm looking for my beanie," You couldn't exactly believe that Luke actually answered your question, you were half expecting him to roll his eyes at you and continue his business, it was actually a huge shock that he replied. Now was a good time to ask Luke why he continues to avoid you and act as if you didn't exist, you never knew the reason why and you never really did anything to insult nor hurt him in any way. "Why do you hate me so much?" You asked, not bothering to beat around the bush, as you knew it was pointless to try beating around the bush with this boy. He stopped, then turned his head to look at you with a small smile on his face. "I don't really hate you," he says quietly, before averting his gaze. Your eyebrows knitted together in confusion, not really following. If he didn't really hate you, then why did he continue to pretend you didn't exist? What did you do wrong? "Then why?" He pursed his lips and heaved out a sigh, "Do you really want to know the reason why?" You approached him with a smile, nodding, causing him to blush and look away. "I-You make me really nervous, alright?" He says, scratching the back of his neck. He had a streak of pink across his cheek and you poked his dimple when it made an appearance, laughing. "Aww, I'm sorry I make you nervous," you said. "Y-you're just... I really like you, okay? I trie-tried to stay away because I really didn't want to fall for you, knowing Michael would probably kill me if I ever did, and it doesn't matter anyway," he continues, taking a few steps away from you. You frowned when he did that, and you just approached him, taking his huge hand in yours. "Luke, it's alright. It's okay to like me, I don't really mind,"  You tell him, using your finger to turn his face towards yours. His blue eyes caught yours, and you felt your heart skip a beat - his eyes were such an incredible color, they were absolutely gorgeous. "I might fall for you as well," you said quietly, pulling him down so your eyes were staring directly at each other's. His eyebrows met and he shook his head, pulling away from you, "You can't fall for me, you definitely can't." He turned to look at you with a sad smile and said, "I'm not good enough for you, so you shouldn't try falling for me," In that moment, the boys opened the door and their heads peeked in, making Luke push past them and scurry out, leaving you standing there with your mouth hung open, tears stinging in your eyes.
