CHAPTER 2
meeting the prince

I WAS SITTING HERE in front of my mirror when someone knocked on the door. "Come in." I told. "I'm sorry to disturbed you, Princess, but, the grand entrance is going to start." One of our housemaids called out. "Alright then. I'll head out in 2 minutes I just need to fix something." I smiled warmly at her and she bowed her head a little and left.

I was wearing one of the bestest gowns that my designer made for me. It was a flowy maxi light blue dress with elegant white beads and laces and to add to the final touch, I wore my white stilettos that my bestfriend from the land of United Kingdom gave me.

The party went on and on for hours and I am very exhausted and starved for the nth time. All I did was stand beside my father when he introduce me to his fellows.

And I was thinking about the dance I practiced earlier; was it even necessary? Why did I even practiced it when I think it's not that important?

When everybody was doing their own business, the announcer of new comers suddenly spoke up, "Let us all welcome, King Carlton Luke Nigel Geriza and his son, Prince Chase Gabriel Zach Geriza of Geriza." And that made us look at their direction up the stairs where all the guests comes in and go out.

I was about to cuss out but I decided against it, because in people's eyes I am a princess so, I'll just cuss mentally. Heh. That's what I do!

Damn! He's fine!

His eyes are the color of the ocean while his lips are those plump ones you want to kiss and his nose is perfectly fit for his face.

"Ah! My good ol' friend, King Carlton!" I heard my father from a far until I saw him walking to their place.

The father of Prince Chase is also good-looking so it explains everything, though.

When I already saw my father
bringing them towards me, I already prepared my warm sweet smile that I can charm everyone and make them believe that I really am a goody-two-shoes.

"This is my daughter, Princess Cassandra Alexis Nathalie Renovia. The heir to Queen Saffron's throne. And Cassandra, I believe you already know their names," My father chuckled as he introduced me to them.

In my peripheral view, I could see Prince Chase smirking. Tss.

"So, Cassandra, later, you and Prince Chase will be called by the prolocutor to go to the center and dance," My father informed.

I just nodded, "So the dance I prafticed a while ago was for our dance?" I wanted to make it clear. "Indeed, Princess." King Carlton smiled at me. So I just sent him a small smile and bow my head a little.

After we danced, I came back to my father who was sitting and excused myself from him and mother to go to the garden.

While I was walking, I came across Princes Chase who was staring right through me. uh..

“Hello, Prince. How may I help you?” I tried saying it with poise and smile. “Oh, no need to be formal with me, Princess,” He smirked. I just smiled sheepishly and finally having the gut feeling of ‘stay away from him! He's a weirdo!’

I bit my lip, “I-i, uh, have to go. It was actually nice talking to you,” I tried saying and left him there.

I finally breathed out the air I wanted to release once I got inside the hall a while ago. And I also take back my words about saying the prince was fine, because he isn't. He's really creeping me out and the way he danced with me a while ago.. Ugh.
