Chapter Four: What? A Singing Competition!

Laura's POV
My grandmother came to my house today with her granddaughter and my cousin, Amelia. I was really excited to see my grandmother because she was kind and loving. But I was definitely not happy to see my cousin. Amelia was this mean and sort of offensive girl who liked to put people down. It was today when we had an overwhelming competition together. Amelia burst into my room and saw me drawing a picture of Lay. She took my drawing, took one look at it, tore it to pieces and said,

"I heard that you and your friends had crushes on like, the worst K-Pop band ever! EXO-M sucks and they're a bunch of gay boys, especially that Lay you have a crush on!" Amelia spat. I looked at her and said,

"EXO-M is the best K-Pop band ever! They're so good at dancing and singing! And don't you dare call Lay a gay boy because he isn't! Lay is kind and he's really handsome!" I shouted. Amelia rolled her eyes and said,

"Zara has a crush on the worst person ever! Lu Han is so gay that he joined EXO-M because he has no friends whatsoever!" Amelia insulted. I got mad and said,

"I may not have a crush on Lu Han but I think he's awesome! Zara says that he's cool, kind and manly! That's true about him!" I yelled. Amelia continued insulting the other EXO-M members like Chen, Xiumin, Tao and Kris and said,

"If you're so sure that EXO-M is so talented and handsome, then prove it to me by beating me in a singing competition! You and your friends versus me! You better practice well because I'm only giving you two weeks to practice for the competition!" Amelia spat and walked out my room, slamming the door shut. I was shocked to hear what Amelia had said so I went to the girls' house and knocked on the door. Olivia opened the door and said,

"Hi Laura! What's up!" Olivia said cheerfully. I took a deep breath and said,

"My cousin insulted EXO-M like crazy by saying that they were gay and they sucked. To prove that EXO-M is talented and awesome, me and the girls have to beat her in a singing competition." I explained to Olivia. She frowned and said,

"It's a good thing that you're standing up for EXO-M. I'll go up tell and the girls what happened." Olivia said and let me in.

Hannah's POV
"What? Are you serious? Amelia said that about EXO-M?" I said in a loud voice. Laura nodded her head in reply.

"Even though I've never met Lu Han, I think he is the most wonderful, most talented and most kindest person ever! His vocals are so amazing and he's really good at dancing!" Zara said and stood up for Lu Han.

"Amelia said that Xiumin is so clean and organized that he should consider getting the job of cleaning the dirty sewers." Laura added. Arianna's eyes widened due to what Laura had said.

"Hey! If Xiumin likes cleaning, then he likes it! You absolutely cannot change his nice personality!" Arianna shouted to defend Xiumin. Sapphire stood up from her seat and said,

"We've had enough! Amelia can't go on about insulting EXO-M like that! And by the way, Chen is the awesomest person I've ever met in my life! Come on girls! We gotta practice for the singing competition so we can prove that EXO-M is the best K-Pop band ever! How many weeks do we have to practice, Laura?" Sapphire asked.

"We have two weeks to practice." Laura replied in a firm voice. Jennifer stood up from her seat and said,

"Hey girls! Let's do this for EXO-M!" Jennifer said and cheered out loud.
