"Luke? Luke? Luke please talk to me. This is not right! What you're doing is wrong!" Sierra said on the other side of the door. "Leave me alone! Fucking leave me alone! Can't you see that? Is that too hard to understand??" Luke said in a harsh, but pained tone. "Luke, your friends are always here for you; Ashton, Michael, Calum, and me - your one true love." Sierra said convincingly. Fortunately Luke listened and eventually went out of his room to meet his girlfriend. He gave her a warm and welcoming hug. Luke said that he was sorry for what he did.
Luke Hemmings never had a good childhood or life, not that his parents or brothers abused him or his friends betrayed him - he was loved by his friends and family in fact, but it is the voices in his head that prevented him in doing what he should be doing with his childhood, instead he was forced to listen with the voices in his head. Nothing really changed as he grew up besides making a few friends, and even finding someone to love him and accept him, but that didn't keep him away from harming himself or trying to commit suicide.
The next day
Luke was preparing for school. His phone buzzed in his pocket notifying him that he has recieved a text. It was from Sierra. "Good Morning Lukey. Can't wait to see you in school today xoxo." It said. "Can't wait to see you too sweet heart. Oh and I need to talk to you about something later." Luke replied. "Alrightyy then." Sierra replied
When Luke arrived at school, he was greeted by his colleagues, Ashton, Michael, and Calum. "Hey Luke!" The three said in unison. Luke just simply smiled back at them not seeming to be interested in talking to them. "Uhm, Luke are you okay? Is there something bothering you?" Ashton asks with a concern voice. "I'm sorry guys. I'm just not my "normal" self, not like I'm "normal" or something, but I just have a loy of things in my head right now." Luke said looking at his toes. "It's okay mate. We're always here if you need us." Michael said trying to comfort Luke. Luke smiled and nodded, then walked to his locker.
When Luke reached his locker, his face suddenly hit the cold steel. It was Mark that pushed him. Mark is known to be a jock and the school bully. "Why'd you even bother going here today Hemmings?" Mark said in a taunting manner. Luke shrugged it off amd continued with whatever he was doing. "Hey! Answer me when I ask you a question! You know the consequence." And with that, Mark and his friends drag Luke outside and beat the hell out of Luke. They punched his face, kicked his stomach, and spat on his eyes. They left Luke outside. Luke was in pain. He felt physical pain, but more than that was emotional pain. He was curled into a ball and crying to himself. He kept on punching himself with all the strength he had left.
You're pathetic. Weak as a whole. You'll never make it out alive, you'll be dead before you even know it.
Luke felt anger. No, he felt fury in his mind, he felt fury in his heart. Luke stood up from where he lay, and with enough strength, Luke dragged himself to the empty cafeteria and went inside the storage room. He took a knife and slit off his arm. Blood flowed like waterfall on his arms.
After a few minutes, a staff member entered the storage room and made a deafening scream as she saw a lifeless body. The staff member immediately reported the incident. Luke Hemmings was dead. The news spread like wildfire. Different theories of how Luke died was told all around town. Some say there is a psychotic killer on the loose and made Luke Hemmings his first victim. But one thing is for sure, the autopsy shows that Luke has committed suicide. His friends and family were beyond devastated about the news, they were all broken. Luke would often talk about the bullying and the voices in his head, but he never talked about his plans about committing suicide. What is more mysterious to them is that why didn't he talk to anyone about his intention, let alone leave a farewell letter. Luke's bullies were suspended, but were never expelled from the school which made Luke's parents furious, and even dared to file charges against the school, but it was never brought up.
Luke's remains was finally laid to rest with the words of Robin Williams embedded on his tombstone: "Suicide is a permanent solution to temporary problems."
