There He stood, looking tall
Smiling as he glanced here,
adorable and breathtaking.
I smiled back, fancying his innocence
seemed rather shy and to himself
His vibrant style
made me smile.
All it took
Was one look
made my heart flutter.
befriending him, felt warm inside
like the feeling of melted cocoa.
I was intrigued, so was he,
He was armed with his charm
destroying my will to resist.
As we got closer, I perceived
it was more than just friendship.
Heartbeats intensified, feelings grew as strong as caffeine.
One thing led to another.
The intimacy screamed beware!
but I wasn't aware.
But that wasn't the end, there lay depths of darkness
he wasn't innocent as I thought
He led me on, despite his heart being mesmerized by another.
it wasn't what I anticipated,
Was it not signs of affection he portrayed?
I mistook it for love.
Days elapsed,
I stole a glance, observed him
guilt crept upon him
And all I could do is smile, smile and smile.
trying to mantle the discomfiture
Everytime I saw him, it shook up an ache.
I then realised he was unworthy.
Unworthy of my time,
Unworthy of my effort,
Unworthy of my emotions.
