"Is it just me or is this song a lot like you?" Demi asked me.
"No this song was made for me." I replied.
"Do you really think that we are all part of some machine?" She almost whispered.
"Dem, I think that we are all living on a big stage and we are just here to play our roles. But why do you ask?" I said truthfully.
"Because after all those years of hardships I meet you and you made it easier and now you are just going to be taken away. What must I do when the one person I need most can't come and help? What if I feel like doing something stupid and you are not there to stop me?" Demi was really serious about this. I know what she means by stupid things and over my dead body will she do that.
"Over my dead- buried six feet under the ground body will I let you do anything to harm yourself. Dem we are only forty-five minutes away, my parents are going to buy me a car and if you phone me I will be there in fifty minutes. You are not losing me. We are just going to learn how to stand alone and if we can't we will be there for each other." I assured her.
"Promise?"
"I promise." I smiled.
She smiled back and we continued listen to Halsey. But now Hunting was playing.
It wasn't long til we arrived at the airport. We were waiting for our flight to be called out in silence but then I broke it.
"I am starving!" I complained.
"When are you not!" She laughed.
"I don't know I think never, I am always hungry. Food is life! Food is bae and most importantly Food dependable!" I explained.
"Okay, okay, I get it let's go get bae." She laughed again. Well at least now she ain't sad. My job here is done. Mental high five.
We went to McDonald's where I order a LARGE Big Mac meal and Demi ordered a Chicken Burger with fries. We ate in silence, we were almost done when our flight got called down.
We quickly finished and then rushed down to out gate. We sat next to each other on the plane. Soon we were air Bourne.
When I put my phone back on I got a message from my mom saying that our driver Frank will pick up and there will be a small get together at our house, just family.
I was relieved that I won't have to deal with the people I have not seen in years. I am really not in the mood for, "Oh you have changed so much", "how have you been?", "What was it like being away for so long?"
Like really it is like third degree when people from my past sees me and I am not in the mood for that.
Demi was playing around on Instargram stalking some person when I spoke, "So how about we listen to our going home song?"
"Definitely!" She exclaimed.
With that I took out my headphones and plugged it into my phone and played Coming Home. I fell asleep somewhere alone the line.
"Sky."
"Sky."
"SKY!"
"Yes, what? Yes." I said shocked.
"We are there." Demi said to me.
"Oh. Okay. Thanks for waking me up." I said but I really didn't want to get off the plane because if I do it means I have to say goodbye to my best friend.
We got off the plane and went to get our bags. After we collected our bags we went towards the exit.
"Miss Crystal?" Frank said to me when we were outside the airport.
"Yes that is me." I replied.
"Wow! You look beautiful you have matured so much you are such a beautiful young lady. You have changed so much!" See what did I tell you...
"Thank you Frank you looking quite good yourself." It was true even though he is in his early forties, he was good looking nontheless. He's tall, brown hair, brown eyes and even under the suit you could see he has a good built body.
"Bye you beautiful young lady." I rolled my eyes at Demi's statement but gave her a big hug.
"It is not bye it is see you later " She hugged me back and I felt her nod on my shoulder.
"Well I will see you later." She said.
"Definitely, I am getting my car soon and then I will be driving down to visit." I assured her.
"Promise?"
"I promise."
And with that we went our separate ways. I am definitely going to see Demi this weekend, no matter what.
