When You and Him Make Up For The Second Time

"Eh?!", she exclaimed but Connie covered her mouth so none of the cadets could hear it inside the mess hall.

"Shh! He might hear you Sasha so do yourself a favor by lowering your voice down", said Connie, looking serious.

Sasha laughed nervously while looking around to see if anyone inside the messhall heard her as she replied, "H-Haha, you're right. Thanks for stopping me, Connie".

Connie smiled while I, on the other hand, just enjoyed watching the two of them while thinking about other things.

"Hehe, you guys are really close. If you don't mind me asking but...are you two dating?", I asked with curiosity and the feeling that I had a moment faded away.

Sasha sat upright while Connie waved his hands in front of me again while both of them said at the same time (which they didn't notice at first), "Eh?! No, it's nothing like that!".

When both of them looked at each other after realizing what they just said, their faces became red and they quickly turned away just to pretend that didn't happened.

"A-Ah, seriously, (Y/N). Where did come from, huh? H-Hahaha...", said Connie and made a fake cough.

"Y-Yeah, like he said. There's no way...I mean...h-haha", said Sasha and laughed like she was frightened from the higher ups.

Curious. Very curious.

But you know, seeing them together like that makes me smile.

Although, this reminded me of all the times Levi and I spent together and somehow, it made my heart ache or rather confused.

I wonder what he's up to lately.

I've been avoiding him for a while and didn't even speak a single word to him. The twins, however, well, let's just say each of them stayed with each parent.

So, in this case, Leon is with me while Isabelle is probably with Levi.

I asked Leon why or what happened to Levi when I left but unfortunately, he didn't say anything and just said this:

"We only gave him space and since we couldn't bare to see him like this, Isabelle and I decided to comfort you and dad separately"

Which is what they did and somehow, their idea might have worked because when he approached me, he gave me all the comfort that I needed and a shoulder to cry on.

I looked over to Leon and he was eating his breakfast normally while watching Sasha's and Connie's shenanigans and he couldn't help but smile or laugh at them too.

Levi's POV

A few hours had passed and so far, my paperwork is done in a flash but somehow it seems like my day is too fast.

Which is why (Y/N) is not by my side, for now at least.

I felt pathetic after what I did to my own wife a few days ago. I slapped her and when I realized that, I can't help but think that I'm a fool.

Dammit.

Doing that out of nowhere was the biggest mistake of my life and here I thought I got everything under control but somehow I failed myself.

I failed to control how much pain had when I started worry about her and this was almost like the exact same feeling when I was with Isabel and Farlan.

I lost them long ago and seeing her getting hurt or almost killed, I immediately forced all of my feelings towards her which is something I wouldn't do to her, but I did it anyway.
