Fairytail: My Never Ending Tale {NaLu}

Day One;

"Why're you leaving?" Lucy asks quietly. Natsu sighs, looking down. "I need a break, Lucy, with my buddy and me. Just us, okay?" He says, "I'll be back as soon as possible" he says walking out. Lucy tugs at his sleeve. "When?" "A year, possibly, is the longest, I promise." He says.

Lucy nods. 'Stay strong. For Natsu.' Lucy thinks. She walks in resting her head in her arms. Some guild mates notice and decide to leave her alone. She needed her alone time. If Natsu and Happy needed alone time, what if Lucy came, without them noticing? They would still have fun, not noticing she was there! Lucy had the perfect plan.

She'd follow his footsteps; hopefully there were footsteps. To her luck; there was. She sighs, 'should I..?'

 After some time, she nods. 'Yes, lets do this!' She thinks. 'I have no idea where he's going so it's better to get better clothes on. He goes strange places at strange times,' she thought; which is true, actually.

"Where're you going, Lucy-san?" Wendy asks. "I'm going home, Wendy, I'm tired," Lucy lies. Wendy frowns, knowing she's lying. She fake-smiles. "Sure Lucy-san see you tomorrow." Wendy replies. Lucy nods running home quickly.

 

Wendy's POV

Lucy-san's lying. I can tell! What would she be doing that's important she wouldn't tell the guild.. I have no clue. I walk to her house.. she is grinning to herself. Luckily her window was slightly open.

"I can't wait! Natsu you won't find it coming." She says.

'She is going to follow Natsu-san?' I thought, smiling. 'Maybe I could follow her.' I thought, seeing her getting out her house. I cover my mouth, covering my unnoticed squeak.

She peaks out and grins walking to the guild. 'I thought..? Oh! His trails!' I thought. Natsu had left footprints. Why didn't he fly with Happy? Maybe he wanted to walk.

Lucy's POV

I have been following these trails for quite a long time now. I always think someone's behind me. But there's no one. Natsu.. I'm coming!

Suddenly, I hear someone behind me squeak.

I narrow my eyes. I stop, seeing the  small petite blue girl. "Wendy?" I ask. "I'm sorry for following you Lucy-san." She says looking down. I pat her head smiling softly. "It's alright. Since you're here, let's get a move on. I'-"

"You're following Natsu-san, I know." She replies catching up with me very quickly. I nod. "Um.. Why did you follow me anyway Wendy?"

"Oh, well when you said you were 'going home' I thought you were lying, is all." She chuckles, looking away. I nod and continue walking. "Who's there? Fairytail wizards? GET THEM YOU FOOLS!" A loud boom echoes from the forest.

Me and Wendy look around, my eyes narrow. I start to squint, trying to see who yelled that.

"Did you hear that, Lucy-san?" Wendy whispers. I nod my head, figuring out, maybe some one followed us? But that doesn't conclude why they'd yell NOW. I mean.. suddenly Wendy screams. She's being dragged! And here I am standing like a fool.

I grab my whip, holding my keys close by, not missing a chance to lose them again...

I slash the man on the arm he's holding Wendy with. He drops her and clutches his arm. He groans. People rush to his aid. 'Wow.. that's it?' I thought, grinning weirdly probably

"Lucy-san? We should go now.." Wendy whispers, pointing to angry villagers. "What town was that anyway?" "I'm not sure. But it obviously hates fairytail. That's certain" she replies.

I hum in response. "Maybe we did something to their town in a fight?" I wonder

"They looked familiar. Well, some of them.. let's keep going." She mutters, walking away from the village.

"Wendy why weren't you with Carla?" "Carla? She's in my bag." She replies smiling. I nod.
