It was an oddly cold summer day.
Alex was expecting his father to arrive home the prior night. As he layed stiff in his bed. He heard nothing.

Usually his family would be very noisy when his father would return from Japan. Alex's sister, Amy would screech out of happiness as she opened the various presents her father brought her.
Yet nothing.

It was complete silence. No high pitch screeches. No sizzling pan, as breakfast was made. Not even the TV running in the background.
Nothing.

Alex thought maybe they went outside and didn't wake him as he always stayed up late. As he got out of bed he got an eerie feeling. His toes prickling from the cold floor, an impending silence struck him to his core.
"You're overthinking it again!"
He whispered to himself.

Alex's father worked in Japan in the worlds most known artifact store. As a renound collector and expert in ancient and strange artifacts he welcomed only the most exquisite customers. The worlds most devoted collectors were the main customers. However there would be other people... and things that would visit the store.

Present day.

Alex slowly approached the stairs, there was this faint metallic smell that made him feel slightly uncomfortable. He went down his usual route to the living room however the door would not budge. Sealed shut from the inside. Nervously jogging down the corridor he entered the kitchen. The metallic fragrance that seemed so familiar was growing more abundant and intense.
A loud noise from the living room starled Alex. He looked at the window.
"God, its only a football. Damn kids playing this early." - He said quietly.

As Alexander's sight moved on to the front facing wall unknowing that his whole life is about to change he stops dead in his tracks.
Paler than ever he dropped on his knees, tears rolling down his cheeks.
The furniture was thrown aside, book cases fallen down. The whole room trashed.
Blood, blood everywhere.

On the main wall written in the dark crimson colour of blood it said.
"Bring dagger, or they die too"
