chapter one

Exterminator Diamond's P.O.V

"Cellophane you fucking twit!" i say yelling at my fellow gang member, Cellophane Exploder , as she shoots her ray gun at a cactus .
  Why did she shoot her ray gun at a cactus you may be asking ? I have no idea , the girls brain is the size of a cashew. How'd she escape BL/ind? I have no idea either . I've been stuck with her and my other partner , Thunder Skeleton , since BLI took over.
   It's funny , most of you people think that BLI only took over Battery City . Well my friend , they took over what used to be known as New York City as well. Battery City used to be Hollywood, you know where they made all those movies and shit . Better Living just changed the name to make everyone forget about everything that happened before and after the war.
   Which I don't understand , when BLI first came into NYC , which is now called Apple City , they started giving those pills . I used to think , "how will these stupid little white pills help us?", back then they were just like Advil , they took away physical pain , then they started to turn everything white .
  The pills got stronger , they started numbing emotions , even eyesight everyone there sees in black and white . I started to stop taking the pills , I saw colours again , and damn was that a good feeling. That's not all I saw though , I saw what BL/ind was doing to people , I realized I had to get out of there immediately . So one day I decided to run , I ran and ended up in a nuclear wasteland , and later headed into the mountains .
   I met these two dorks. Cellophane heard about other groups like us out near Battery City and I decided we would head southwest , with the compass that Skeleton found . So that's where we are now , we only have about 4 bottles of water left . None of us have any idea where we are , but we must be pretty damn close because we're in the freaking desert .
"Dude what's that?!" Skeleton says and points to something .
Me and Skeleton stop walking and Cellophane stops skipping , kicking sand all over all 3 of us . In the distance there's a car driving like crazy in the sand.
"That's not a BLI van!" says Cellophane smiling , "Should we stop by and say hi?!" she asks.
"No that's not a particularly smart idea.." i say in response fixing my only bra , or what's left of my only bra . "I say we follow it , just don't make it obvious that we're following , they could be assholes and try to kill us and take our supplies for themselves.."
"True , let's follow 'em" says Skeleton as we head off following the car.
