Chapter Two

Venice' POV

Striking neon lights. Crazy and wild people on the dance floor. Awesome music from the DJ.

THIS IS WHAT A REAL PARTY IS!

Though if it were the old me, I'd rather prefer staying at home, watching movies, cuddling with ......

"Veeee!"

I turned around to see Sheena glaring at me.

"Bakit?" She looks stunning in her gold dress that just higlighted her long legs.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY VEEE! BAKIT 'DI MO SINASAGOT MGA TAWAG KO? BAKIT 'DI MO KO SINABAY PAPUNTA DITO? BAKIT 'DI MO SINABING INVITED PALA SI ---"

Shoot. I don't wanna hear his name.

"Chill Sheena! Busy ako kaya I wasn't able to answer your calls. And regarding sa last statement mo, I really want to see your reaction kasi!", I told her habang nangingiti.

"Tse! Pero Venice, okay ka na ba? Okay lang ba sa'yo na makita siya ngayon?" She said it with concern and care evident in her voice. And she called me Venice, so she's really serious about this.

"I'm fine. Kaya ko nga siya ininvite. To show that I'm strong despite what happened, right?"

"Yes Vee! Ugh nakakainis ka masisira make-up ko as drama natin e :'("

"C'mon! You started it!" I said while laughing.

She immediately laughed with me and pulled to where the girls are. This is what I like about my best friend, she's been with me since I was 12, summer before high school starts. She never judged me, has always been by my side, and gave me support when no one else could. We've been together for a long time, and even after my 'change', she understood me. She even became friends with the girls that I've met in the clubs.

"Girls, I present to you the birthday girl!" We laughed altogether.

"Vee, ang tanda mo na. Haha. Nandun na sa table yung gifts namin sa'yo, just check it later. You'll love mine for sure," sabi ni Alecs sabay kindat sa'kin.

I'm pretty sure kalokohan ang gift niya sa'kin. I can still remember when she brought me a souvenir from her vacation in Baguio. It's a piece of wood that is private to men, and when I asked her about it, she just laughed her heart out. She's really crazy, though I must admit she's really a true person at kahit sa bar lang kami magkakilala, I know she's a sister I never had, just like Sheena.

"Earth to Vee!" Cheska said which pulled me out of my thoughts. She pouted when she noticed I wash' paying attention to her.

"Sorry Cheeky!" I apologized to her and laughed along with the girls. Cheska is the youngest among the four of us at siya rin ang pinakatahimik. Pero we're really proud of her cause she's an achiever in her school. But she's not your typical A-student, dahil party girl siya. Cousin siya ni Alecs if I may add. Wonder why I called her Cheeky? Because she is. Para siyang yung characters sa cartoons dahil sa pisngi niya, but she is a real beauty inside and out.

"Aish stop it Vee! Pasalamat ka birthday mo!"

"HAHAHA. Okay girls, I'll just entertain other visitors. See ya around!" Sabi ko sa kanila bago umikot sa ilang tables and makipagbeso sa mga tao.

An hour has already passed yet he's still not here. I wonder if he's coming. Syempre pupunta yun, party animal yun e, and syempre libre 'to kaya for sure 'di niya 'to palalampasin.

"Venice", a man's voice called from my back. I stiffened and bit my lip. This is it Vee! Show him that what happened between the two of you don't matter anymore. I put a fake smile before turning to him.

"Jared, thank you for coming." I said that with a hint of appreciation on my voice. Tch. If only he knew this is just a show.

"Happy birthday! You look beautiful as always."

"Thanks, if you need anything just

"Babeee! I've been looking for you, paglabas ko ng washroom wala ka na dun." My words were cut by a girl with a high-pitched voice walking towards us. She clings on Jared as if her life depends on him. She looks like a rich btch so I can say that they are perfect together, A BTCH AND A GOLD DIGGER.

The btch looked at me from head-to-toe and smirked. "And who are you miss?"

Before I can even answer, Jared leaned down to her ear and said something to her ear. The shock on her face is priceless! Huh! That's what you get for btching on me.

"So you're the celebrant? Happy birthday," she lifted an eyebrow on me. Aba! Alam kong btch sya pero akala ko naman may hiya 'tong babaeng 'to.

"Thanks! See ya around guys. Enjoy!"

Paalis na sana ako pero may naalala ako. I must ruin their night. I turned around to see them talking but immediately stopped when they notice that I'm still standing in front of them. "Hey Jared, use protection this time okay?"

Their jaws are on the floor while I strut and a big smirk is plastered on my face as I make my way back to the girls. One point for Vee! I'll make sure they'll have a good dose of their own medicine.
