-Short Chapter
"Miss Rose?" I quietly called out as I reached her room.
"Come in" she sighed and I opened the door to find her sitting on her bed drinking a glass of wine and watching a movie. I made my way over to the bed and sat next to her not saying anything.
"Where's your friend" She asked without looking at me.
"I left her with Hayley" I said quietly
Miss Rose put her glass down and opened up her arms "Here. Now. You look cold" she took me in her arms and we just layed there watching whatever was on the TV.
"How was your birthday Miss Rose?" I asked as I moved one arm over her body allowing me to hold her
"You were the highlight of my day darling" she smiled so softly but so painfully it hurt my chest.
"What's wrong?" I was concerned
"Nothing dear I just have never had someone be so thoughtful and no one has ever given me a present so precious" I looked up at her "I was hoping you'd like the journal"
She let out a small laugh "I wasn't just talking about the journal Melanie" she leaned down and kissed me softly on my head before I knew it I was falling asleep again.
"Sweet Melanie what are you doing to me.. " I heard her whisper before I completely blacked out.
