Thanks but no thanks

Okay so tonight my family and I went to TCBY. We had all picked out out yogurt and had paid for it. The cashier just needed to give us spoons.

He asked "Which are the lady's?" (Referring to the bowls) We pointed them out and BOOM. I got a pink spoon. The same thing happened with my brother and dad, but they got blue spoons.

I know this may seem petty, but does yogurt REALLY need to be gendered? I don't think so. I don't think it's necessary for girls to have "girl" colored spoons. Or "girl" colored anything. I firmly believe that colors and clothes don't have gender.

So thanks but no thanks. I'll pass on gendering frozen yogurt.
