Chapter thirty eight

Start from the beginning

Klaus snapped his gaze back to his sister, a monotonous chuckle bouncing through the room. Ava was shocked at the outburst for a moment, still trying to separate her name from the other psychopathic Eva around.

"Fortunately for you, I know someone well-versed in such spells." Klaus informed the witch, having two chains wrapped around her wrists in seconds.

"I'm coming too!" Ava spoke up, her lips straight and her expression stoic.

"You're amusing, love, you really are. But no, all you will do is rest." Klaus nodded, his grip still attached the chains lacing his sisters wrists.

"Oh you think I'm asking? Sweet nik, if it means pushing that psycho witch back to the grips of hell. Then I want to be the one to do so." Ava smirked, strutting through the door before any other precautions could have been made.

Klaus sighed as his sister grinned; she had already grown to love the way the oconnell had power over a hybrid without anything but her love.

"I don't think you can do that without immense strength and refined hearing, darling." Klaus called as he pulled Freya along with him to catch up the blonde.

Ava sighed at his comment, understanding his humour in bitter clarity.
He was using her morals against her.

"Don't even start with me Niklaus!"

The three stood in the Lafayette cemetery, within the confinements of a building so filthy and dark that the dust which had clung to the walls only made the darkness thicker.

Klaus had thrown two blood bags toward the darkness, a sinister smile crept to his lips as if he rejoiced the captivity of whatever monster he had hidden there.

The mikaelson quickly glanced at the O'Connell, watching her discrepant confusion build during the silence.

When she glanced up at the hybrid, her round crystal eyes were sore with curiosity- unaware of her familiarity with his hostage.

"Word of warning, love. This ones a bit delirious." Ava furrowed her eyebrows as klaus stepped in front of her, already forming his protective stance.

"No!" Freya mumbled before screaming it again, her body was divulged in tremors of pained cries.
Instinct taking over as she prepared to lunge for freedom, only to be stopped by a chuckling hybrid.

"The woman who knows more about body jumping and mind evasion than anyone. Freya meet mother. Mother meet Freya." Klaus laughed as he watched each girl freeze at the introduction of their helper.

His mother had snuck out of the shadows to watch the newest mikealson with intensity. Freya refused to allows the flood of emotion denture her from her own facade.
And Ava was speechless.

"It can't be..." the mother hummed, stepping further toward the light with hesitance.

Ava's jaw hung loosely as she watched the woman with careful eyes, her gaze flickered from the hybrid to the ex witch several times before she had the courage to speak.

"Nik... how is she your mother. She looks nothing like you- I mean she's black?" Ava stuttered in confusion, feeling the vibration of klaus' laugh through her grip on his arm.

"She's not in- her right frame of mind." He responded vaguely, his stare still content on Freya.

"You won't trust me, but you'll trust her?" She roared at her sibling, racing for any idea why they would need an ex witch.

"I trust my mother about as much as I would a stuck snake."
Klaus laughed, stepping closer to their mother and separating his proximity with Ava.

"Fortunately, she is now a vampire, and as such, she's vulnerable to my compulsion. You will answer me truthfully." He spat venomously, grabbing her chin and compelling her compliance.

Within the matter of moments, Esther was pushed toward the group more- her eyes already pleading her freedom.

Klaus was back at avas side as soon as it was necessary. His hand hand snaked around her waist as if in warning to either person to test him in hurting her.

"Lets raid mummy dearest's mind for spells, shall we?"
