Elena's P.O.V.

"So, do you know the gender of your pup yet?" Danielle asked.

"No, not yet," I sighed. "Both Victor and I want the gender to be a surprise. But knowing the fact that Victor is an Alpha, we're most likely going to have a boy first. It seems to be a common thing for Alpha pairs to have a male pup first, which is quite odd. I'd be fine with either, though."

"I see," She hummed.

"So what about you? Any luck?" I wondered.

"Yes, actually," Danielle smiled, her hand going to her stomach. "But it's a bit too early for us to tell the pup's gender."

"I guess we both got what we wanted, huh?" I giggled.

"It looks like we did it," she grinned. "We both wanted a pup, and we both have one growing inside of us now."

I momentarily cringed.

"That makes it sound creepy..." I mumbled.

"Now that I think about it, I guess it does," Danielle sighed. "It kind of sounds like I just said we both ate a living pup."

"That's gross," Victor said, walking into the room and scrunching his nose up. "Who, in their right mind, would want to eat a pup?"

A cannibal. Duh.

"Hello, Victor," I murmured, walking up to him and pecking his cheek.

"Darling," Victor greeted softly, kissing my forehead. "Forgive me Danielle, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to take Elena from you for a few hours."

"That's quite alright, Alpha," Danielle said. "I should probably go find my mate now anyway. He and our daughter are probably getting into some kind of trouble."

"Tell Soren I said hello for me, will you?" Victor asked. "I haven't been able to see him in person since Elena and I's wedding."

"Will do, Alpha," Danielle nodded.

"Bye!" I called out as Victor led me out of the room. "So, where are we going, Victor?"

"Well, I thought we could go into town and get something to eat," Victor hummed. "We can go wherever you'd like."

"I still don't know too many restaurants in town... so surprise me, I guess," I whispered. "But first, I should probably get dressed in proper clothing before we go anywhere."

I'm wearing a pair of shorts and one of Victor's sweatshirts.

"So, what's the occasion exactly?" I asked as the waiter walked off with our orders.

Victor ordered crab, which he mentioned was one of his favorites. I ordered lobster, which I did have to make sure is safe for the pup beforehand.

I was actually craving lobster earlier too. Lobster is so yummy.

"Can't I just go out to lunch with my lovely wife and our unborn child?" Victor replied, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Victor, you still have a lot of work to do, don't you?" I deadpanned, looking at my mate dully.

"Yeah, I guess I do," he mumbled. "But still, I need some time alone with my soulmate outside of the pack-house too."

I guess that can't be helped.

"Aww," I cooed playfully. "How sweet."

"So, Jack told me that someone was trying to get into contact with you... err... Little Flame," Victor said, changing the topic as his cheeks turned pink ever so slightly. "How's that working out for them?"

"Not too well for them, currently," I sighed. "She doesn't meet people without knowing their name, and they're refusing to tell Jack their name, so she's refusing to meet them. To my knowledge, this has been going on for almost three or four months now. They're pretty persistent. I think Jack might be getting just a little bit annoyed with them."

I feel kind of bad for him. Jack is stuck in the middle of this; but then again, I guess it is a part of his job. Still, it must be hard for him to be the middle-man in this kind of situation.

"My stubborn love," he chuckled. "You do realize that they could lie about their name, don't you?"

"Yeah, I do," I nodded. "But at least I would have something to call them, wouldn't I? And if you haven't noticed, I kind of lie about my name at work as well. It's how the whole secret identity thing works. You know?"

"Oh," Victor mumbled. "I see."

I think this is a perfect time for a topic change.

"Has there been any progress with your mother yet?" I asked.

"Not really," he sighed. "She keeps on fighting the doctors that are trying to figure out what's wrong with her. If there is even something wrong with her, that is."

"They'll find something eventually," I encouraged. "I'm sure of it. And then, once they find out what's wrong, they can cure it and she can be back to normal."

"I hope so," Victor whispered, looking me in the eye while smiling softly.

"We should do that more often, that was fun," I said as we walked out of the restaurant.

My right hand is intertwined with Victor's left hand.

"How about we do it at least once a week?" Victor suggested.

"Can we?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Anything for you, my darling," he murmured.

"Our pups are going to be so spoiled," I sighed, leaning my head on Victor's shoulder as we continued walking through the streets. "Aren't they?"

"Most likely," Victor laughed.

I haven't started showing all too much yet, but I have started getting slight cravings and mood swings. These things are normal, so they're nothing to worry about.

"We still have to think of a name for them, don't we?" I asked, looking up at Victor.

"Yeah," he breathed. "But we still have a while to think of names. I mean, you're barely even a few months along."

I believe I'm about three and a half months along.

"True," I nodded slowly. "But I think that we should still start thinking of names now, so we can be prepared. Right?"

"How about this: if we can think of a name for our pup, then we'll write it on a sheet of paper in our room and when our pup is born, we'll choose the name that we like the best for the gender they turn out being," Victor suggested. "We'll put up three papers, one for male names, one for female names, and one for names that could be for both genders."

"Sounds like a plan," I smiled, kissing my mate's cheek softly.
