Not the Exception

Chapter 3

The bell rings, and everybody starts hugging, and I walk with Chy and Lyssa to class, our first periods are all right next to each other. They never put any of us in classes together though. I think they're afraid we're going to shoot the school up or something. Like we would waste our lives on those people, ha. I walk into my first period, Math. I like having  math first, I'm awake, and I can get it done. Coach Jones is the math teacher, he likes me. Not in a creepy way, but he likes that I'm different. After 50 minutes of working my butt off on the math quiz the bell rings. On my way walking to Science I see Brison walk out of the office. I almost run to make sure he's okay, I ask him what happened and wrap my arms around him. He says in a proud, but quivery voice he said "You know Nash Johnson has been giving me shit all fucking year?" I say yeah, "Well, he called me a fag for the last fucking time." he says. My heart drops. "Brison what did you say to him?!" I yell. Brison does this little laugh he always does when he knows he freaked me out and says "Hahaha, all I did was tell him to go get ass raped by one of the guys on his baseball team!" I almost puke with relief! I hate it when Brison does stuff like that! I punch him on the shoulder and say "You asshole! You scared the crap out of me! I thought you had hurt him beyond repair or something!" Brison laughs and replies " No way! I'm not going to jail for that kid, he's nothing to me! He'll get his one day, and I'll hopefully be able to see that shit!" I just shake my head and give him a hug. The bell rings and the teachers all start telling us to get to class. Brison is in the class right across from mine, so I'm not to freaked out when I have to go in. Science and Social Studies fly by. Then it's time to walk to art. The walk to art isn't so bad because Jake and Leah are going to their classes, which are in the same building. I walk into my art class and get a warm welcome. That's the thing, the people in my art class aren't really in the same crowd as me, but we do say Hi in the hall and stuff. After art is over it's time to meet Chris, Katie, Chy, and Lyssa for the walk to lunch. We usually sing while we walk to get even more looks haha, today we all sang the chorus to "All I Want" by A Day To Remember. They're Chris's all time favorite band. We get to the lunch room, and thats when we see the rest of our crew sitting at our table eating. I usually don't eat until I get home, but Chy had a chocolate Rice Crispy Treat. Everybody knows they're my favorite snack ever. We all talk about whose going to ride to Vynal together. I really don't want to go. I just want to go to Traxx. They finally decide the seating arangements. Jake and Leah practicly live together so they'll go and get Chris and Katie. I'll get Chy and Lyssa, naturally. I always offer Brison a ride,he has his own car, but I just don't want him getting lonley. His dad died a while ago, and his mom is always away. After that we finish lunch and walk back to our classes.
