A/N: I wrote this for my English assignment :D  It basically was suppose to be a 12 line (minimal) poem about anything [as you see, I completely overachieved LOL] and we had to use our 8 vocab words.  But tell me what you think!  I just thought I'd share it with you cause... well why not? haha enjoy!

Heed the story that I shall tell

Of a once virtuosos person whose talent he sacrificed,

A fool some belittle, but I know the truth,

Of a story that happened in the bloom of youth.

There!  In the corner behind the extraneous dust and the webs,

And the antiquated pictures that laid just ahead.

Below a rotting quilt that once was new,

Laid a piano that has witnessed both love and regret.

This man was known as the greatest musician,

The one that all but one admired.

When his agile fingers danced lightly upon the keys,

Inadvertent he seemed, but all else could hear the piano sighing with glee.

The melodies he created would sing through the air,

Like a song bird’s calling, all would hear.

But there was one woman who was not impressed,

By this man’s talent nor his act.

In this world, he had but one weakness,

A woman he loved since his early ages.

But she, oh what a selfish girl, refused to love a musician,

Thus sending him into a swallowing depression.

Year passed, and with a final boom,

The piano’s lid came down, its playing never to be resumed.

Compliant to her wishes, he hid his fingers,

Of which above the keys they were never to linger.

And then you wonder what a fool he was,

To deplete such talent at what kind of cost.

There is no levity in this kind of lost.

But was he really a fool or just blinded by love?
