Chapter 10

Dom's POV

I let out a huge sigh as I left the meeting room. My schedule is packed and I had to attend meetings. Nakakapagod.

"Shall I prepare tea for you Ms. Dom?" Klaus asked as soon as I left the room

I looked at my wrist watch and shook my head "No need. Prepare a tea at my next meeting with Mr. Gray" I said and entered my office "I'll be having a meeting with him at five"

Klaus bowed his head once "Yes miss"

"Oh and let Cylus-- or rather Kollus bring the tea inside my office, okay?" I ordered

Klaus looked at me with confusion "are you sure? He's--"

"Yes, I know he is Kollus' father. I just wanted to see his expression. Will it be hatred? Embarrassment?" I said while smirking

"Miss" Klaus sighed "Very well then. I'll have Mr. Kollus to bring the tea" he bowed and left the office

The telephone in my desk rang once and I quickly took it to answer "Yes, hello?"

(Good afternoon Ms. Vega. Mr. Gray have just arrived. Papunta na po siya sa office niyo) one of the employees informed

I nodded my head "Okay. Thank you" Ibinaba ko na yung telepono at inayos ang sarili ko

A soft knock erupted at my office's door. I cleared my throat "Come in"

Klaus entered the office with him is Mr. Gray, his secretary and a few guards.

I'm not even surprise that Cylus looks like his father

I nodded at Klaus and he quickly left the room. He should be calling Cylus by now

I smiled at Mr. Gray and walked towards his direction "Good afternoon Mr. Gray. It's a pleasure to meet you"

He took my hand and give it a small shake "Same as me" he said with a straight face

What a strict businessman. He must be seeing me as an enemy. I can't blame him though

I continued smiling at him "Shall we have a seat? We have a tea ready for you" I said while pointing at the black and white leather sofas. I took a seat and he did as well. So we're facing each other

He cleared his throat "I'd be blunt. Why did you suddenly asked me to come here for a meeting?"

I raised one hand "I'll tell you later. Let's wait for the tea first. A chat without tea is very unrelaxing as they say" I said while smirking. I crossed my legs and leaned backwards

Another soft knock came and one of Mr. Gray's guards opened it

"Ms. Vega. The tea--"

I looked back and saw Cylus standing and staring at his father. Okay, he's surprised. I cleared my throat "Good afternoon Mr. Heath. Thank you, please leave the tea at the table and you may leave now"

He looked down and quickly placed the tea and snacks at the table. I can see his ears are every red now. Embarrassment.

Ooh. This is fun!

Cylus stood up straight but I stopped him. Holding his wrist while I look at him

His eyes widens as he looked at me

"Mr. Heath, please greet my guest. He is Mr. Gray, the CEO of Gray Empire. He is a very important man" I said while smiling at him

Cylus moved stiffly as he faced his father and bowed "G-good afternoon Mr. Gray. It is a pleasure to meet you"

Mr. Gray looked at his son with amusement. Hindi niya siguro inakala na makikita niya ang anak niyang NAPAKA BAIT

"Mr. Gray. He is Kollus Heath, my new secretary" I said while smiling at Mr. Gray "You may leave now Mr. Heath"

Cylus bowed his head once again and left the room with quick pace

"Surprised with your son's sudden attitude?" I asked, not looking at him. My attention is at the tea, I quietly poured the tea in both tea cups and took my portion

I can see him looking at me then he ordered his secretary and the others to go. Leaving just the two of us

"I guess you already knew" He said, taking the tea cup

"You do know I'm not that dumb Mr. Gray" I said as I took a sip of my tea. Hmm, Earl grey

"You must be thinking that he's a spy I sent here" He said in a serious tone

"Oh no!" I chuckled "I never thought of that. That would be Impossible and besides I had my own investigation team, they all reported that you two got to an argument. Tinakwil mo so He is broke right now"

His face turns bitter nung marinig niya yung salitang 'Tinakwil' "I didn't-- Hindi ko siya tinakwil" he looked at his tea cup "I just want him to live independently, Ayoko ng umaasa siya sa iba. I want him to grow up. I know na alam mo na, he is a fcking dick of a son"

I chuckled and placed my tea down "I know"

"So what do you want?" He asked, placing down his tea "You're not supposed to call me here just because you want me to see the well being of my son. I have this feeling that you need something from me. So what is your condition? To keep my son lay low from media and from the others"

Napataas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya. Wow. Do I look that kind of person? Well, maybe I am. I feel offended though

I let out a small laugh "Mr. Gray, I don't have any conditions to propose. Whether you believe it or not, I have called you to let you see the condition of your son"

He looked at me with a surprise expression. Like father, like son "You are full of surprises Ms. Vega. I'm starting to like you"

I shrugged "I've been receiving comments like that"

He looked at his wrist watch and stood up "It's very nice to have a little chat with you. If that is all, I'm going. I have an appointment coming"

I stood up and smiled at him "Feel free to visit here if you're worried. I know you're a worry-wart kind of father"

He smirked at me "You got me. I'll be going now"

I nodded my head "Klaus" I called and Klaus quickly entered the room "Please tell Mr. Heath to assist Mr. Gray outside the company please. Thank you"

Klaus bowed and left

"Take care of my son Ms. Vega. If you need anything please do tell me. And  Thank you for keeping his identity a secret" he said and finally left my office

"I'd take note of that" I said while smirking "Time to finish my work"

It's already dark outside and I had just working for today. Damn, I'm wasted. My body feels heavy

I took the telephone and called my secretary

"You called?" Cylus asked as he entered the office. He stared at me for a second "You look pale"

I waved my hand, saying it's nothing "I'm just tired. Do I have important schedule for tomorrow?"

He looked at the tablet "More on paper works and one meeting"

I sighed and placed my face on my desk "Deliver the papers at my suite, you go and attend the meeting tomorrow. I'm not attending the company for tomorrow"

"Why?" He asked

I looked at him with a bored expression "Just do what I told you"

He didn't said anything and nodded his head "Anything else?"

"Take notes of the important details from the meeting and deliver it to me. And please find me a suitable personal assistant" I said as I stood up, taking my coat from the rack and wore it "I'll be going now. You can go home as well" I said and stepped out of the office

I feel like I'm going to have a fever tomorrow. What a bad timing
