Story Spark #87: "You're kidding yourself! He's dead and you just don't want to admit it! Get over yourself! He's gone!"
"Shut up! I know and I'm dead already!" Teresa yelled at Jace.
They were close friends, but not as close as Teresa had been to Connor. The connection between them was unique.
Even before he died, she had a hard time handling life in general. A Dark creature inside you was difficult, anyways. Always trying to make you give up.
Connor had been a light in her life - figuratively and literally. He was a Light wizard, being most skilled in that.
Teresa made a mistake, which led her to be a Dark, or Shadow wizard. She clung to Connor to help her fight to stay in control.
Now, without him, it was even harder. It was so difficult to stay in control.
Why do you insist on fighting? You're already hurting, and I can make it go away, Shadow (her creature within her) tried to say persuasively.
In response, she mentally shouted, "NO."
She would NOT give up. Not for Connor. She'd live for him. No matter how much it hurt. She still had people around her. People who still cared.
