Epilogue!

Elena’s POV

“Road Trip! Road Trip!” Annie chanted.

“Yeah! Road Trip!” Drew joined.

I rolled my eyes at them from across the room. They were one cute but childish couple.

I squealed in surprise when Liam grabbed me from behind, pulling me into his chest. “You ready?” He mumbled while kissing my neck. I craned my head to the side, giving him more access. My heart was beating fast just like every time he kisses me.

“I don’t want to leave my mom.” I mumbled. He spun me around, looking into my eyes.

“I know, I don’t want to leave my parents either but we’ll be back to visit. It’s like a two to three hour drive depending on traffic. If you want, I’ll drive you back here every weekend if you want to visit your mom.”

I smiled. Could this boy, I mean man get any sweeter?

“It’s okay, you don’t have to. Let me just say goodbye one more time and we can leave. I don’t want to hear complaints from my neighbors since Mr. and Mrs. Love over there are creating a racket.”

“A cacophony.” He added.

“Hmm, looks like your vocabulary did expand.” He instantly grinned at me when I said this. I predict that his smile will be wiped off as soon as I say what I’m about to say.

“A little.” I said teasing him. Just as I guessed, his smile turned into a frown.

During my senior year, Liam kept on saying how his vocabulary range expanded since me and Jamie kept on making fun of his “small” words. His vocabulary didn’t really expand much at that time since he didn’t even know what vain meant. Being a senior in high school, that was pretty bad.

I think I fully got over Jamie’s death. When I thought about her, which was from time to time, I no longer felt a guilty pang in my heart. Instead, I would remember all the good memories I had with her. I know that she will be happy to see me smiling instead of hiding in my room like how I did for the first couple of weeks after the accident occurred. I was thinking about how upset I was those couple of weeks and how Liam was always there trying to cheer me up. His eyes were full of concern and worry and love? Why didn’t I ever notice that before? Was I that oblivious?

“Ms. Scott. That is very inconsiderate of you. You know you could hurt someone’s feelings like that. Maybe you should get punished.” Liam said with a smirk on his beautiful face.

He lowered his face to mine just before we heard a clearing of a throat.

I turned around and quickly blushed. My mom was at the kitchen doorway with her arms crossed looking at us.

“Now now.” She said waving her finger accusingly at us. “I don’t want to see you guys eating each other’s faces off. You can do that when I’m not around.” She playfully scolded us. It was clear that she was trying her best not to laugh.

“You better get going too. I don’t think Mr. and Mrs. Smithson enjoy waking up and having to listen to Drew and Annie chanting in the yard in the morning.” My mom said with a smile on her face.

Next thing I knew, I flung myself at my mom. She caught me and I attacked her with a hug. I was almost sure that all the bones in her body were going to break if I hugged her just a teeny bit little harder.

“Elena. You’re killing me.” She said in between breaths.

“Sorry.” I said sheepishly which letting go of her and taking a few steps back.

“Whew! I thought I was going to die back there.” My mom cried dramatically.

“Mom! Don’t say that.”

“What? It’s true. You were literally one step away from suffocating me. I couldn’t breathe.”

I opened my mouth but was disturbed when Liam wrapped his hands around my waist from behind, resting his chin on my forehead. I relaxed myself against his chest.

“Say goodbye to your mom so we can leave and I can finally eat your face.” He whispered in my ears. I shivered involuntarily and blushed. I guess this was his way of “punishing” me.

“Uh, o-okay.” I stuttered.

He let go of me and I walked towards my mom again. I hugged her properly this time saying goodbye to her. I told her that I was going to call her and that we will visit often. Liam gave her a hug too and my mom returned it without hesitation.

When I finally walked out of my house, my eyes were red and puffy from the crying I just did. Liam had to drag me out since I made my last minute decision to stay here with my mom. She was helping him drag me out. I guess she didn’t want me anymore. I thought with a sniffle.

The two lovebirds were nowhere to be found.

“Ahh, where did they go now?” Liam’s voice filled my ears like music. I know, cheesy but true.

“Wait, is that them?” He said incredulously, then bursted out laughing with his head thrown back.

I followed his gaze, squinting and finally spotted Drew and Annie. Drew was giving Annie a piggyback ride and he was running. Annie for sure was having the time of her life, laughing along with Drew. Drew had on hand in front of him in a fist, I guess that he was imitating superman. I laughed and shook my head at the two people that were quickly approaching us. To think that they were adults.

“Hmm, that looks pretty fun.”

Next thing I knew, I was being picked up by Liam. He placed me on his back. Wrapping my legs around his waist, Liam followed Drew’s pose and we ran towards the couple who were only a few houses away. For the next ten minutes, Liam and Drew were carrying me and Annie on their backs running up and down the streets pretending like they were superman. Liam was sure my superman. He was always saving me.

This didn’t seem much but I was having the time of my life. Being piggybacked and running up and down the block that I grew up on with my very close best friends and of course, my boyfriend made me amazingly happy. I was so grateful to have them in my life. Life couldn’t get better.

But who was I to say this? We still didn’t even go to college yet.

Wow, this is the absolute last chapter of "Falling For You." Tell me in your most honest opinion, what did you think about this story? I think I'm going to work on another book now since I have an idea on what to write about. I was looking back in the this little book where I started writing my ideas down for "Falling For You" and I came across another idea that I already wrote. I think I might work on it and see how it goes from there.

The side is the first song I've ever listened to by One Direction. Haha, every time this part comes on, I do the little dance thingy that they do. It starts on 2:19. It's absolutely adorable! ♥

Also, the side is another cover that I did. I think I might use that for the cover instead. I like it better than the one I have now.
