Chapter 16

They listened carefully

"Me for my dream and you for yours. Please don't hate me, I want to protect someone precious to me. To work for that person. To fight for that person. To make that person's dreams come true. That is my dream. For that I can become a shinobi, I can kill you." Haku finished

Naoki didn't believe it, she had a clear look on haku's eyes.. they were gentle and tainted with guilt.. though not completely warm they weren't ice cold..

"Can you really?" Naoki said in a whispered tone so quiet no one but haku heard

"You obviously don't want to hurt anyone.." she continued to whisper

The more Haku fought the clearer it was for naoki, she could see the hesitation in haku every time he attacked.. but even so the fight continued

Naruto made a ton of shadow clones and tried to attack each mirror

"Idiot, that won't work" sasuke scolded

And he was right, naruto got thrown back to sasuke with more needles on his back.. he couldn't move.. naruto was close to done

Sasuke activated his sharingan and tried more carefully to see the opponent. Haku was surprised to see those eyes, amd concluded that he needed to finish it faster.

Haku aimed needles at not sasuke but naoki and naruto, sasuke saw through this and moved grabbed the two and got hit instead.. blood gushed from his wounds

"Dobe.. nao.." he said before falling

Naruto looked at the sight.. and felt anger rushing in her blood.. he was about to lose his sanity..

"Idiot.. you shouldn't have protected us.." naruto whisper/shouted at him, carefully placing him properly

He gave them a small snicker and said "don't die, idiots."

He then closed his eyes and fell into a dead like state

Haku seemed to have said something but the twins weren't listening anymore.. naruto looked at haku with deadly eyes

A red chakra was surrounding him, healing his small wounds. The chakra felt strangely warm to him and naoki but to anyone else it felt evil and dark.

Haku threw needles at the twins but naruto deflected them with sheer chakra alone. This made haku focus more on him.. he saw the red cloak and was caught off guard, naoki was pretty shocked herself

What was that?! Haku thought

Naruto ran faster than ever and grabbed the arm that belonged to haku. He punched him pretty hard. Haku flew back breaking one of the ice mirrors, and his mask too was breaking.. after one mirror broke the dome began falling apart

Naruto leaped forward wanting to hit him but stopped as soon as he saw his face..

"Y-you're.." he said in disbelief

"Why did you stop.. I killed your best friend, yet you can't kill me?"

"Shut up.." he shouted in pain.. he then punched him half heartedly

At some point haku was telling about his past, what he had been trough and how he came to be.. it was a horrible story..

"Naruto-kun, please kill me.." haku said sincerely

"Is this really the only way.." naruto said bitterly

Haku looked down and then looked into naruto's eyes with his own pleading eyes

"yes" he simply spoke
