The entire bus ride home me and jay talked. "So olive... you wanna go see a movie sometime?"
I look at him like he has 6 heads. "Umm what!?" I say not believing what he just asked me.
He laughs at me. "Do you want to go see a movie with me this weekend?"
I just blink for a moment. "Uhh no sorry I have plans." I lie to him.
"What type of plans?" He smirks at me.
"Important ones duh" I act like I know what I'm saying.
He just smirks at me and 5 minutes later we are back at school. I get off as fast as I can. I walk over to my parents car and get in and drive home.
The next day at school I go to my locker when I close it I am stopped by none other than Jay. "Can't you just leave me alone Jay?" I ask him getting a little annoyed.
"Mmmm nope" he says popping the p. I sigh and just walk in the other direction. "I'm gonna get that date with you Lilac!" He yells and I just roll my eyes.
First period I walk into class and sit down in the front. Just as the bell rings, Jay walks in and sits next to me and I groan.
"Aren't you happy to see me Lilac?" He smirks playfully as I glare at him.
"Never in a million years will I be happy to see you Jay." I roll my eyes and do my work. He just laughs and does his work too.
After class Jay catches up with me and stops me.
"Please give me a chance Lilac I promise you won't be let down." He pleads and gives me puppy dog eyes.
"Nope" I say popping the p and he chuckles.
I walk away, "I'm gonna get that date Lilac!" He yells after me.
That night I head home from practice and walk in my house to see Jay talking to my dad. I growl and cross my arms. He smiles at me innocently.
"Seriously Jay, using my parents to get to me?" I say slightly annoyed.
"I have no idea what you're talking about Lilac. I am just your friend who wanted to speak to your parents." He smirks, gets up, and leaves.
"He's a nice guy sweetie." My mom says way to happily.
"I agree with your mother, Lilac. He knows his sports and he seems like a good kid" he states too.
"Baseball players annoy me" I say with a huff of frustration.
"I know sweetie but just give him a chance." My mom says trying to comfort me.
"Not happening!" I practically scream and storm off to my room.
I get a shower and walk into my bedroom and get my pjs on. After I get everything done I go turn off my light and lay in bed.
My phone starts ringing and I see that it's Jay and I ignore it. I eventually answer it because he keeps calling.
"What do you want Jay?" I ask calmly through the phone.
"Go out with me Saturday and let me prove that baseball player aren't all bad." He doesn't really ask me it was more of a statement and a promise.
"Alright fine I'll go out with you this weekend if it will let me get some sleep." I say to him and yawn.
"Alright princess get some sleep see ya at school." He says before hanging up.
