Diminishing Return

Where there are enchanting rainbow petals across the forest,

there is a bewildering place full of hungry beasts.

Where there is a beautiful reflection of sunlight on the surface of the ocean,

There are approaching shark fins blasting the waves apart.

Where butterflies are floating within flowers

Toads are waiting to gulp them to death.

Where little sprouts are fighting to emerge from the ground,

There is long lasting summer that dried it to crumbles

Where cells are working on their own homeostasis,

Some antigens ripped tissues to inflame.

When there are constellations of stars that made up an entire galaxy altogether,

There are black holes sucking matters to collide.

And at last,

When there are people sincerely giving everything they got,

There is someone else refusing and torturing them in return.
