IS IT HEARTBREAK IF YOU NO LONGER FEEL IT?

we break
we break again we break
until we're more glue
more nails and tape
than human
these are not scars
on my skin but fissures
taped up cracks
i'll never be able to seal
open wounds
i'll never be able to heal
we feel
until we don't
until we hand and hand
out our hearts
and too many pieces go missing
and the broken places lose all feeling
is this my heart beating
or just the echo of one
of a heart i lost
once
years ago
when i still believed
in love
