Chapter 6: I adopt my new little sister

Jerome's p.o.v.

I quickly got dressed. I wasn't going to let this amazing little girl be out of my circle of friendship. Wait, that sounded really corny. I left my home in New Jersey to go to New York, cause that's where Dani lives. I drive and knock on her door. Wait, it's like 4 in the morning, will she be up anyway? She opens her door and greets me pretty warmly for a person who's now an orphan. She's wearing some green pajama shorts with a matching tank top that says "I'm sad so hug me." I hug her and she stands there blankly. I point to her shirt and she smiles. I ask her for her landlord, who has the adoption papers for some reason. She said the last door on the left down the hallway. I walk down the corridor and knock on the door. A woman comes out with an annoyed expression and looks me up and down

"What do you want!!" She screams at me.

I ask for Dani's adoption forms.

She looks at me and asks me

"Are you serious?"

I simply replied yes.

She hugged me and handed me the papers.

Before I can process what just happened she grabbed me and said in a firm and serious tone "you hurt her in anyway I'll rip your head off and feed it to my cousin's dog Sherbert, got it?"

I said yes shaking and she smiled and said goodbye. I walked back to Dani's apartment. I decide to tell her later. It's 5 now.

"Oh, hi Jerome!" She tells me.

"I'm going to take you out later, okay."

She smiled a genuine smile.

I drove to the foster home and gave the woman the documents. I called Mitch, my best friend.

"Waddup biggem's?"

"Mitch I got good news buddy!"

"What?"

"I have a new little sister!"

"Your mom had a baby?!"

"Nah, I adopted her, but we'll fill you in later, but can you tell the other guys for me, please???"

"Sure why not, gtg bye!"

"Bye"

I got the best friends in the world and an awesome little sister. My life's going to be great.
