Death's POV

Roxi and Thomas left us and now it was just me and my bride in the courtyard. He watched Thomas and Roxi leave before sighing to himself.

“Well, I guess it’s my turn. See you later.”  My bride said while walking away.

“Wait! I wish to show you something.” I said taking my time down the steps.

“I’m sure you can show it to me later.” He said while continuing to walk away. I snapped my fingers and Akira appeared in front of him. “Wow!” My bride exclaimed as he fell backwards.

“Akira will only attack if you not comply with my simple request.” I said with an out stretched hand. My bride was hesitant but after a moment, he complied with my request. I helped him up and began to walk with my bride by my side. We walked in silence for a moment before my bride became impatient with me and stopped.

“What is it that you want? You better not be thinking of doing anything sexual to me again.” He said. “I hope you know that that’s sexual harassment!” He added.

“Sexual harassment.” I laughed. “I wish to show you the greenhouse. My wives before you have found it quit a pleasant place.” I assured him.

“And how do I know that? You could be lying for all I know. Like I said before, you are Death, a clever, heartless, and cold.” He replied.

“That is such kind thing to say, my bride.” I replied as I stepped closer to him. My bride began to back away from me but I grabbed him quickly and pulled him close to me. He tried to pull away from me but I held on tight.

“Let go of me!” He said as I chuckled. I kissed him on his forehead before wrapping my arm around him and continued walking. As we walked, my bride grumbled things under his breath but I paid no mind to it, no matter how annoyed I was by it. Within five minutes, my bride and I were at the doors of the greenhouse. I took the key out of my pocket and unlocked the door the lavished world of my greenhouse. My bride stepped into the greenhouse was taken away by the wondrous smells of the various flowers and rainbow of colors.

“What do you think?” I asked him. My bride remained silent but he no longer looked at the garden in the greenhouse, but one specific flower. “Is there something wrong?” I asked.

“No, it’s just that flower. I’ve seen it before.” He replied.

“Oh, that is the red spider lily. It is one the most beautiful flowers in the world.” I said while walking into greenhouse and smelling one of them. “There are more once you move to the center of the greenhouse.” I said while looking at him. He looked at me before hesitantly following me into the greenhouse. I led him through the greenhouse and allowed him to marvel at the beauty of the garden before we finally made it to the middle of the garden. My bride stepped deeper into the garden, observing the red spider lilies. He seemed content in that moment, so I took my chance. “My bride, I have something to tell you.” I said.
