Your POV;

FLASHBACK

"I'll see you soon okay?" Marcus said.

"Promise?" you asked.

"Promise."  he said.

"Wow, that was the most cliche 'The Fault in Our Stars" moment," you said giggling.

He laughed.

"Be careful back there. Stay safe" you said grabbing a hold of his hands.

"Don't worry y/n. I'll be fine" he said rubbing his thumbs on your hands

"Okay, have fun," you said smiling.

He smiled as his plane was called for boarding. You placed a soft kiss on his lips and then pulled him in for a hug as he left for the planes gates.

You groaned as you woke up once again, without Marcus laying beside you.

Both Marcus and Lucas had left to go back home to Maryland to visit family. They have already been gone for two weeks meaning they should be home soon.

You dreaded spending time without him, but he needed some time to spend with his family. You've gone back home to see your family before and Marcus was totally okay with that.

You spent the last two days trying to get in contact with Marcus.

Nothing.

You even tried to message his family members, but you still got nothing.

You tried to ask Jake when they were getting back, but he didn't seem to know.

You were getting very worried.

Why the hell didn't anyone have answers to any of your questions?

'This is Marcus. I'll try and call you back as soon as I see this. Catch me later'

You heard for the tenth time today. You gave up on trying to get him to pick up his phone.

You decided to just give up. There was no use. Maybe Marcus was never coming back. Maybe he found a new girl back home, I mean that would be more convenient.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a small ding from your phone.

You quickly picked it up and unlocked your phone. It was a text from Marcus.

'Hey. Sorry I haven't been able to contact you lately:) I've been really busy with the fam, please understand. Lucas and I have decided we want to stay here for a bit longer than expected. We don't know when we'll be back, but don't forget me:) love you'

You read the text confused as ever. What does he mean they're staying there for a bit longer? How much longer? You decided to not respond to the text. You couldn't believe he had left you for almost a month without any contact and when he does contact you, it's a text, he couldn't even call you?

You placed your phone back down as tears fell from your eyes. Sooner or later, your eyelids became heavy and you fell into a deep slumber.

'Y/N!' you heard someone loudly yell your name from downstairs.

You quickly jolted awake by the alarming call. You groaned as you moved the hair from in front of your face. You tiredly got up from your bed and made your way downstairs.

You slowly made your way down the steps trying not to fall. You made it down and had to rub your eyes to make sure you were seeing correctly.

"Marcus?" you asked.

"In the flesh," he said grinning.

You were quick to run towards him and give him a big hug.

"I'm sorry I didn't have the time to call. I was so bu-"

You cut him off.

"Just shut up and hug me. I missed you, you goofball"
