Adventure Of The Magic Carrier

Prologue

Haven Bowers is 13 years old. Her mother and father died when she was only two.After that, she was dropped off in a basket with a blanket in the pure coldness of the winter wind on the  porch of an orphanage by a stranger, or at least a stranger at that time. From there she lived with a mean lady named Matilda (which was her aunt), Matilda's  two children, and all the other kids in the orphanage (which was very little due to the small town that she lived in.) She lived in a town called Coretesville (core-ret-is-ville). The town had a population of 175 people. She also had a mark that was on her arm that everyone told het was a birth mark.

Haven never knew anything  about her mother except that they had died in a train crash
what she heard every now and then from the people in the town. Sometimes Haven would sneak out to go to town to see what was in the shops and visited the store clerk, Marlin, who worked at the market. Marlin would give Haven ice cream and hot dogs and helped her with her homework and also made her laugh. He had a good sense of humor and he was always was smiling but Haven knew that he had been through some hard times. Marlin also told her stories about being in war and family stories that made her giggle her head off.

Haven didn't go to proper school, instead she was home-schooled by a lady who visited once a week to teach all the children. The lady who taught the children was tan with black hair and shiny, brown eyes. She was very generous and nice and was even a good-listener. The lady visited every Tuesday. Haven loved to talk to her and loved it when she read to her and the others. Haven even had a nickname for her. She called her Tia, when her name was actually Tiana. Tiana didn't mind either.

And little did Haven know that there was a brighter future for her and there was more about her life that she doesn't know yet
