Ted ended up abandoning his family and buying an apartment in Indianapolis, where he kept his refrigerator full of chicken. He ate chicken whenever he felt, wherever he felt.
He lost contact with his family, and Karen ended up having to get a job to support her family because Ted spent all his child support money on chicken.
Eventually, Ted was arrested for not paying for child support and Karen had to bail him out of jail with most of the money she had saved up.
Ted eventually forgave his family and moved back in, agreeing to be sensible with his chicken addiction.
