"Jordy?" Adele whimpers, sniffing quietly as she held her phone to her ear

"Adele? What's wrong? Are you crying?" Jordan asks, no hesitation in his worry as he sat up quickly on the bed

"Can you...do me a favour please?" She asks, hand over her aching stomach

"Yeah sure, of course. What do you need?"

"Could you please go to the pharmacy for me? I got menstrual cramps and I'm all out of pain killers. My mum's gone to work and I can't reach my friends" she sniffs, biting back the sob that threatened to leave her lips as her stomach muscles tightened

"Oh, of course. Of course, I'll be at your place in 20" He says, getting off the bed and going to grab a shirt

"Hey love" Jordan says, brushing the hair of a partially sleeping and very tired Adele behind her ear

"Hey Jordy" she croaks, opening her eyes to meet his

"Your stomach still hurts?" He asks and she nods

"A lot"

"Come sit up, I got you some medicine" he says helping her sit up on the bed, her back leaning against the headboard

He takes out the medicine and hands the pills to her before pouring her some water to take it with

"Thank you" she says swallowing the medicine and drinking some more water before handing him the glass cup again

"It's okay. I got some chamomile tea, I saw that it helped with cramps, I'll make some and bring it up okay?" He says and she nods

"Okay"

"Get some rest till then. I'll be up before you know it" he says helping her lay down again before heading downstairs

"Hey" Adele says quietly, her eyes on Jordan who was sat on her couch, his eyes on his phone

"You're awake" he smiles, dropping the phone on the couch beside him and coming to help her sit up

After she'd drank some of the tea he'd made for her, she'd fallen asleep and he'd just stayed and watched over her, not wanting to leave her alone in case she woke up and needed something or was still in pain.

"Yeah" she returns the smile, sitting up properly with his help "Thank you for looking after me today"

"That's fine"

"I'm sorry for bringing you out like this and taking you away from whatever you might have been doing or had to do" she apologizes

"Why are you sorry when you did nothing wrong? You needed me and I came, you'd do the same for me" he says and she smiles

"Still, thank you" she says "For being there for me"

"I'll always be there. I might never be a knight in shining armour, I might never be the one you take home to mother and I might never be the one who brings you flowers but I can be the one, be the one tonight" he says and she frowns at the familiarity of the lines

"Where did you get that from? Stealing from a movie?" She asks just before her eyes widened in realisation

"The fuck, you just quoted perfect by one direction" she notes

"Caught me" he says chuckling

"God you are so fucking cheesy. The hell, you listen to one direction?"

"Sometimes" he shrugs

"Well even though you're so freakishly cheesy,  you are still the best person ever. Even if we don't know each other much, you definitely still rock" she smiles

"You and me got a whole lot of history, we could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen" he replies and she raises a brow

"Are you in love with One Direction or something? Seriously? Now you're quoting history by them?"

"I should be asking you that. I mean how can you catch me two times in a row?" He laughs

"I mean I think Harry Styles' hot and everything and I think they have put out some nice songs but I can see you're a die hard fan. You are seriously quoting their song in our conversation" she shakes her head with a laugh

"Whatever" he says pushing her head lightly with a smile

She turns to her nightstand, looking at the small table clock on it.

"Shit, did I sleep for that long?" She asks, seeing the time was 4:36 in the evening.

"The medicine must have knocked you out. It's good you got enough rest though, you feel better yeah?" He asks and she nods

"Definitely" she smiles "I'm actually so glad about this break we had from school, it'd have been hell if I had to deal with cramps in school" she sighs laying on the bed again

"I'm just happy you're fine now, you looked like you'd die earlier"

"It felt like I'd die too" she says and he chuckles

"I'm glad you survived" he teases

"Whatever" there's a smile on her lips.

"I'm glad we are talking again" he says after some silence

"Me too. I'm glad it's also not awkward between us" she adds

"You know what?"

"What?"

"All of those rumors, all of those fights but we always find a way to make it out alive. That's what I love about us." He says, already laughing at the look of amusement on her face aimed at him.

"You did it again. You totally just quoted One Direction again" she notes

"Shut up Jordy!" Adele exclaims and he laughs

"I really don't understand girls and I just might never. I literally just said you are slender and you are still complaining. If I called you fat, you'd take my head off but you don't want me calling you not fat. So what do you want to be called slat?" He asks and she smacks behind his head

"None of your business. And by the way I didn't ask your opinion did I?" She asks and he chuckles

"I guess not" he says, keeping his hands in the pockets of his jacket as they walked down the sidewalk on their way to the diner just a couple minutes away from Adele's house

Since her mother was working late at the hospital, she decided she'd just have dinner with Jordan instead and so after a couple hours of watching TV and just talking, the clock had hit 7 and they'd gotten ready and came out, now on their way to go eat at the diner.

"Exactly" she says

"Okay Adele" he gives up

"Jordy?" She calls, pausing her movement and causing him to stop walking too

"Yeah?"

"I'm tired of walking..." She says and he raises a brow  "Carry me?" She asks with a sheepish smile

"Seriously?" He asks

"I'm still sick, remember? Be a good friend, hm?" She says with a pout and he chuckles

"The things you make me do" he says as he bends in front of her

"Aw, you're so sweet" she coos with a grin as she gets on his back and he chuckles

"Whatever"
