*beep*

I laid on my bed, not wanting to move from my place. Just 5 more minutes.

*snooze*

*beep*

I walked to where my phone settled on the table to dismiss the alarm. I looked at the time. '9:28 am'.

Well at least I didn't wake up as late as before.

I brought my clothes (set from the day before) to the bathroom to brush and take a shower to get myself freshened up for the day. I decided to wear a red and white patterned flannel with jeans and boots.

I ran down instantly after to get myself a granola bar and oatmeal as I needed to head out quick, trying not to miss Biology class.

"Hey Mila. Did you get your breakfast?" She asked as she cracked the eggs into the bowl.

"Yes I did mom. Have a great day." I said as I went to the wall rack.

"You too sweetie" she smiled as I picked up my leather jacket.

I looked around for my keys but they weren't in the rack.

"Mom, where are my keys?" I asked as I looked around.

"Right near the photos on the counter."

I ran over to pick up the keys right next to a picture of me and my friend.

*flashback of 6 year old Mila*

"Mom! Why did we have to move?" I asked as I played with Kayla, my stuffed elephant.

"Sweetie, mommy got a good job but in order to get it we had to move." She answered as she made a U-turn into a neighborhood.

"This is unfair! What about my friends? What about Emma?!" I asked angrily as I crossed my arms and huffed.

"We can still see Emma sometimes. She just lives further away. Everything will be fine. You are going to make new friends." She assured me as we stopped in front of a big house.

"No I am not. Nobody is ever going to be as good as Emma! I am staying in this car until we go back."

My mom, Sarah, sighed as she opened the car. "Mila come out of the car." She said as she came over to open the door for me.

"No!" I said as I looked at her.

"Mila, please."

"NO!" I yelled.

"MILA REED, YOU BETTER GET OUT OF THE CAR NOW!" She yelled as she grabbed me by the arm. Tears began to stream down my face.

She bent down. "I am sorry for yelling. But please trust me with this. You'll like it."

I looked at her as she had a worried look. I decided to just give it a try. I was going to still stay here and nothing was going to change that.

"Okay."

As she called the truck movers, I looked over at the house next to, I believe, ours to see a boy with curly hair playing with a toy plane.

I would have asked my mom but she was busy on the phone so I decided to run over to him.

"Hi." I said as I gripped on to Kayla.

He smiled at me but didn't respond.

"Can I play with your plane? You can play with Kayla, my elephant, if you want.." I asked as I lowered my voice.

"Sure." He answered as I sat down next to him, he handed me the plane. I looked at it in awe for a few minutes until he tapped on my shoulder.

"What's your name?" He questioned as he took a look at Kayla.

"Mila. What is yours?" I asked.

"Harry."

*end of flashback*

My friend in the photo was Harry. I looked at the photo closely, examining. Wait, let me actually rephrase that. My childhood friend.
