{Grace's p.o.v.}

I sighed as I slipped on my shoes for school. I turned around and cupped my hands over my mouth as I began to yell out towards the empty hallway, "I'm heading to school now!" I hear a response coming from one of the bedrooms in our home, "Good luck and please stay out of trouble!" My older sister responded as she stuck her head into the hallway, her body still being in her bedroom. "No promises~" I playfully winked at her as I headed out the door.

Hi. My name is Grace and that was my older sister, Kassie.

As I walked down the walkway, I saw Kassie's soon-to-be husband, Kris, taking out the trash. He's sort of nice but he's mainly cold all the time but he is fun to 'bully' around sometimes. Aka teasing him when he gets all lovey-dovey with Kass. I waved to him and said goodbye as I got onto my white schwinn bike and placed my simple black biking helmet ontop of my head. Can someone say I'm excited? No. Can someone say I'm nervous? No. Can someone say I'm scared? Sorta, but I'm beyond terrified. First day as a junior at Equinox Highschool. The highest ranked school for shifters, shockingly, it's something I'm not. It's now my third year at this shitty school and it's only going to get worse as people become stronger while I stay the same Grace, or "Grace the freak". A shifter should be a normal person. A shifter is someone who is able to shift into any mythical creature they are given around the age of 10. In this world, everyone has atleast one form. The more forms you have, the stronger you are and the higher respect you receive and gain. But if you're like me, not being able to shifr at all, then you're not even on the pyramid for the social clases and such. You're under the pyramid. My family- Well, Kassie, has two forms. A siren and a Phoenix. While both our parents had 3 forms each. Until they died in a robbery almost a decade ago. But it's alright. I'm surprisingly not dead yet.

When I arrived to school, you could already tell who the freshmen were. There were so many more of them than any other grade. Plus they were all short and mostly ugly. The pretty ones end up becoming whores 90% of the time. The 10% are the quiet pretty girls. I locked my bike up at the rack and walked into school with my head down and my hood on. I listened to people's conversations as I walk past them. Some of the topics these people talk about would make you lose brain cells. I had a strange feeling for god knows wha reason and I see a tall and very good looking boy walking around like a lost puppy. After a moment of staring at him, he turned and directly faced me and a small but kind smile formed on his lips as he started walking towards me.

Uh oh. I hope he's walking to someone right behind me or just anyone but me. I don't need trouble so early in the morning!

Hi guys! It's been suupeerrr long since I wrote an actual story and I wanted to start again but I'm not sure if I should or not so I randomly made this in slight inspiration of my old story, Transfer. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! I'll probably update again soon if this chapter goes well. See you soon!

P.s. Sorry it's so short. It's like a prologue than an actual chapter so you guys can have a feel of what it's going to be about.

P.p.s. It's also midnight and I had a crazy idea of randomly wanting to write a story and publish it so here it is. 😂
