Oasis
a heart could rust
here I fear
disintegrate
cease to palpitate
In oasis
mirage
of desert land
built of sand
breath breeze
so light, it mocks
the dunes
to dust
to ruins
horizon
never reached
sand castle parapets
never breached
in illusion’s
vapor
shift
a heart could die
here I fear
in oasis’
sand sift
