For the second day in a row I woke up with Elena in my arms. I'm filled with more joy than I can comprehend until I remember what will happen tonight. And what I'll have to do. Elena knows that today Moriarty will be watching closer than ever, mostly our every move. So I have to act like I don't love her, distant. I hope Moriarty isn't watching too closely, because I am not that good of an actor. The day I want to comfort her most, I can't hardly talk to her. I move Elena over softly, as not to wake her, and go to the bathroom to the a shower. When I am in there I hear Elena come in and brush get teeth. She leaves without saying a word. I know she isn't supposed to, but it still sucks. When I get out I see a note written in the stream on the shower. It says, "When I'm not speaking to you, I'm thinking about how much I love you." I smile and erase the message, just in case. After I dress I go to the kitchen and see Elena eating some oatmeal on the couch. She left some oatmeal in the pot for me, so I put it in my bowl and sit at the little table in the kitchen. All I have is my thoughts in our shared silence, I think about how beautiful she is. I also think about how I have the love of a girl as beautiful as she. I don't think I'm not attractive exactly, but I've never really been lucky with women. Maybe I talk too much? Well it's definitely too early to try and start that conversation. Elena gets up and puts her bowl in the dishwasher.

"We need to talk about this?" she says.

"What do you mean?" I ask, confused.

"You can't give me back to Moriarty. I- I can't go back there." She winks. I understand now. She wants Moriarty to think that I'm willingly giving her back to him. We need to have a fight.

"Miss Rivers, the man who took you is going to keep killing and killing women until your returned to him. Our team has to do what's right."

"I'm apart of that team now, don't I get a say?"

"He promised not to hurt you anymore."

"You believe the narcissistic psychopath?!"

"We have to." I need to stop this, that was hard enough to get out.

"But-"

"No, I apologize but that's the end of this conversation."

"Fine Dr. Reid. I'll call a cab to go to work." she starts to head for the door.

"No, I'll drive us." I say getting up. I don't trust that Moriarty won't try to grab her early. She just nods and grabs her coat and bag. I open the door for her, she keeps her head down until we get to the car.

"Do you think it's-" I start.

"No Dr. I don't want to hear any more of this." she interrupts, shaking her head 'no' ever so slightly. I nod and we drive in our aching silence.

When we get to the BAU Elena gets out of the car as quick as she can and storms head down into the building. When I get inside Morgan, JJ, and Prentiss are waiting at my desk.

"Is everything okay with you two?" JJ asks. I sit down and get my notebook out of my bag and start to write down the truth before I say the lie.

"Who? Miss Rivers? Oh she's just upset about having to go back to Moriarty. But I told her that we have to do it." I nod down to the notebook where I wrote why I was saying these things and why Elena stormed off to get office. They all nod in return.

"Yeah, I guess I would be too." says Prentiss. They all go back to their desks.

"She'll understand." Morgan says. I just nod.

The day seems to go on forever. We all just sit at our desks and pray that all goes well tonight. Anderson comes up to me with a letter he says was outside the doors of the BAU. It's addressed to me. It reads,
