I had been carrying Abigail for as long as I could, not very far though. Even though I'm in the F.B.I dosen't mean I have muscles like Morgan. Thankfully, I came across I police car who had been helping the search for Abigail and myself. An ambulance took both of us to the hospital even though I felt fine. But when we got to the hospital I found out that the bullet had brushed my side and I needed a few stitches. My team met me there and I was greeted with smiles, hugs, and a few tears from Garcia. Turns out me and Abigail had been in that cave for almost three days, I had just been in and out of it I guess. Abigail was fine, except for the emotional pain. We both got out by the end of the day.
Once I returned to work I went straight to my friend Penelope Garcia, I needed to see what I could find out about Elena.
"Okay," says Penelope, "What is it exactly that you want me to do?"
"I want to see if you can find some information about somebody for me" I say.
"Let me guess, the girl that helped out you and Abigail?" Penelope asks. She only knows about Elena because when I got back I also had to explain everything that happened in the cave to the whole team.
"Yes please, her name is Elena Rivers."
"Okay, lets see what I can do here." she says. I am always amazed at Garcia's computer skills. Her swift, easy movements of her fingers on the keys. The way her eyes never leave the screen as if in a trance.
"A ha, okay, Elena Rivers she was born in New York. Oh gosh her parents were murdered in their family home when she was 14 years old. There was no other family so she was sent to foster care, where she was kidnapped and there is no record of anything about her after that. And that was uh, 9 years ago."
And she still wants to do good after all of this? This girl has to be the most extraordinary one I have ever met. I have to get her out of there I just don't know how. I decide that I need to go and talk to Morgan. Maybe he'll go back to the cave with me, it's the only place I have to look.
Morgan and I start out towards the cave, the others are parked behind letting just us go in unless we need backup. I find the door of the cave opened, just as I left it. I'm scared to think that he could have taken her someone where and that I'll never find her. My spirits raise and fall deeper when we hear a soft, subtle cry for help.
"Did you hear that?" I asked Morgan.
"Sure did, lets go in." Morgan says. He waves over S.W.A.T, I didn't really want them to come just because I don't want anything to set Moriarty off, but with him being as ruthless as he is I know we will probably need them. We start off as slowly and quietly as we can, so we can hear her if she says something again.
"Spencer? Please come help me. I'm hurt" said a quiet voice in the distance. I recognize it immediately.
"Morgan, that was Elena I'm sure of it." I tell him. I whisper to the air, "Elena, it's Spencer can you hear me If you can tell me where you are."
'I-- I'm over here, in the corner. I can see light ju-- just keeping walking forwards. He's not here right now. We're safe." I run towards the voice ignoring whatever Morgan was saying. I just needed to get to her. I heard mumbling again and I shine my light towards it. What I see brings a deep pain to my soul. Elena is bloodied, bruised, and broken. Crumpled in a ball on the floor. When I touch her shoulder she cringes away in pain, but tries to smile at the sight of a friendly face.
"Spencer, you came back?" she asks.
"Of course, couldn't go without repaying a debt, could I?" I say back to her, trying to match the smile on her face. Morgan is right behind me and gasps slightly at seeing the poor girl.
