I remember visiting the small, quiet and low populated town when I was younger but enjoyed packing up at the end of the stay for i knew that I would be going back to the city; my home. I however, in my wildest of dreams thought I'd return by force.

My parents both passed away and now I'm forced to live with my very strange Uncle Clove.  He was a quiet man who never married and kept to himself, at least that is how i remember him as a child. Now that i am a bit older, something about him was different. He still was quiet and kept to himself, but he was out of the ordinary.

He gave me a set of rules to follow which was understandable. The first five basically said clean up your mess and stuff like that, but the sixth and seventh ones striked me as odd. The sixth one said "Don't open your windows past eight and make sure you keep the curtain closed. If you get hot, take your blankets off and DO NOT open the windows." The seventh one said "If you hear music, scratching, pounding, ignore it." Why do I have to keep the window and curtain closed? And why the hell am I supposed to ignore screaming, music, pounding and SCRATCHES? How did my dad ever put up with this nut job? I have to live with him for a month or so just until social services can find me a new home, but my dad lived with him until he moved out of the house! That's too long for me. "Isabel?" Croaked a voice.

"Yes?"  "Why don't you go unpack and settle in? Your room is up the steps to the left." "Okay I'll do it right now." I grabbed my heavy, old and raggedy leather suitcase. I set it down, opened the door, picked it up and set them back down on the hard wood floors. I looked around. It was a really nice room. It had a big open space with big open windows,a small closet, and a huge bed under a canopy. I wish I had this at home I sighed. I grabbed the heavy suitcases and put them on top of the fluffy white comforter. "Gosh it's hot  in here."

I walked over to the six big windows and opened each of them up. A gentle breeze filled the room. This is better. I started to unpack some of my clothes. With nothing else to do and deciding not to be coopef up in this strange house with my uncle, I decided to go explore the town. "Hey uncle Clove? " I said walking down the steps. No answer. I made my  way throughoutthe hose calling his name while searching each room. Still no response. I then walked outside to see my uncle farming.

"Hello Isabel." "Hey uncle clove, do you think I can walk around the town?" I asked. He put an ear of corn in a brown basket. "Sure, why not? Be back by six." He told me. "Sure. See you then." I said walking away. I followed a long gravel road until it led me to a field of purple flowers. I walked into the field and started to pick them. After I got a good bouquet I took the white satin ribbon from my hair and wrapped it around the bouquet. I started to walk home, when I heard a noise. I walked a little further down the path. "Come one, come all! Come see the circus perform right before your very eyes!" A man yelled. I walked over to the attraction. "I didn't hear about a circus coming here." I said in a low wisper. I checked my watch. 5:45. Better head back. When I arrived at uncle cloves house, he opened the door, and with in the blink of an eye,he grabbed my arm and pulled me inside. I turned around with a surprised look on my face. Uncle Clove started to lock the door.

"Did you close your bedroom windows?" He asked peering out the curtain on the door. What the actual hell, i thought to myself. "Yeah I closed them. You know what, I actually think I'm gonna go to bed,I'm kinda tired and want to get settled in ." I told him. "You don't want dinner?" He asked. "No thanks." I said departing from the kitchen. When I got to my room,I immediately locked my door. "Creep." I walked over to the opened windows and started to notice the spotlights from the outside of the circus. Tomorrow. I decided that tomorrow is the day that I'm going to see the circus. "Tomorrow."

The next day it was raining really hard. I practically woke up to the loud booming thunder. But when I did wake up, I was really hungry. I yawned, stretched and got out of bed. I turned to look out the windows. They were covered by the old and dirty curtain. I pulled the curtain back and saw that the windows were closed. Maybe I closed them? I thought to myself and paid it no mind. I got dressed and threw a pair of black shorts on. "I need a shirt." I said while digging  into my suit case. I pulled one out. It was a plain white shirt with blue around the arms and the neck. "This'll do." I put the shirt on and walked towards the door. I opened the cold and shiny doorknob. It was open. I swear this was locked yesterday I chuckled nervously. I looked at the door knob. There is no key hole,so how did someone unlock it? I walked down stairs trying to forget the weird things that happened upstairs. "Hello?" No answer. "Alrighty then." I rummaged through the old houses cupboards. There wasn't much food in there for two, probably because my uncle lives alone, but still wouldn't he go shopping or something?  I grabbed a box of cereal from the top shelf. I pulled it down and looked at it. "I hope to god those are blueberries." I said pouring the cereal into a bowl. "Hey Isabel! How are you this fine morning?. Asked my muddy uncle. "Its good. How's the farming?" I asked him while looking in the fridge for milk. "Not so well. Are you looking for milk?" "Yea actually I am." "Its on the left hand side in the way back." "Thanks." I grabbed the milk and my cereal and sat down at a wobbly table with creaky chairs. "Well ill see you a little later."Said my departing uncle. "Bye." I poured the milk on to my cereal. And listened as uncle clove stopped up the steps. He still is so strange to me, yet so was my door and window situation I thought ehile eating my cereal. When I came across cross a blueberry however ,I practically barfed. I walked over to the trash can and spit the cereal out. "THOSE ARE NOT BLUEBERRIES."
