9:30AM.
I stare silently at the university's seniors as they make fun of each passing person; hot, regular, boy, girl, everyone. Though, my eyes are more focused on the guy who isn't speaking at all, just standing between them, irritated and annoyed by their childish behaviour, and I ask myself; why is he standing with them if he doesn't like what they do?
I have always took interest in that guy, Tobais Matthew. We attend a few classes together, maybe three or four, and I have noticed how smart and hardworking he is, which is quite confusing to what I see out of classes; a guy who likes to party hard, drink liquor and hook up with different girls. It's like he has two completely different personalities.
He is tall, but not much taller than me. I say he's about six feet tall, since I'm only five feet and six inches tall. Not a lot, I think. He has dark brown hair, greenish-blue eyes, and very faint dimples. He is beautiful, really, and his cleverness just makes everything better.
"Look who we have here. Lucille, wasn't it?"
Snapping out of my thoughts, I slowly turn my head towards the sound, only to find a red haired girl and a brunette in front of me. I know who the red haired is, she's Tanya from the 'group of seniors'. I also think she's the worst of them all, she's like a high school devil.
Anyhow, I'm quite confused as to why she is standing in front of me, and how the hell she knows my name.
"Yes...?" I speak calmly, eyeing her up and down from behind my dual glasses. Thank God she can't see me.
"Oh, she sees and speaks," she chuckles humourlessly, as her friend smirks and snorts. "Anyway, we saw that you were sitting alone, so out of pity, we decided to offer you to come and sit with us."
I internally laugh loudly and roll my eyes, though, I keep myself together in front of her and say, "I'll have to decline that generous offer of yours."
Does she still think we're in high school? She's a senior at university, for God's sake!
"Oh, I wasn't asking." She replies coldly, dropping her smile and letting an evil smirk take over her face.
"I wasn't answering." I reply, sounding so unbothered and uninterested, which I am. I really want her to leave so I can look back at Tobais.
"You are so rude!" She drops her jaw, looking offended.
Offended my ass, she's planning on something. I have seen and heard all about her schemes.
"Oh, am I?" I say, faking an innocent look.
She looks at me with disgust and scoffs. "Here I was being nice, and thinking we could be friends."
"Sorry to shatter your dreams," I say, sighing heavily as I get up and move to say in her ear, "but I really don't think it was your plan."
With that being said, I leave her and her friend standing before I start walking away from them, putting on my earphones and playing some songs. My next class starts in ninety minutes, and I don't want to go back to my dorm, so I head to the library like I always do.
Biographies and autobiographies. I love them, they are the only type of books that I read. I never really read another type, it's always biographies or autobiographies. They're my escapism. I like to live other people's real life.
I sit on the ground at the biography section, holding Mr Nice between my hands as I keep reading. However, three minutes into the book, I hear my best friend — Julia — calling for me and my eyes widen. No noises in the library, damn it.
