"Gumising ka na mortal, may pupuntahan pa tayo!", a familiar voice shouted.
I yawned. Anong oras na ba?
Just as I was about to stand up, the door creaked open, revealing the lady behind that voice. Her eyes were black and expressive, her lips cherry red and soft. She was dressed in a red, elegant dress and walks majestically with a smug face like she's some sort of queen. Well, I guess she really is. She's just the terror Queen of Hathoria, isn't she?
"Ano, tutunganga ka na lamang ba riyan, Lei?", she folds her arms "Baka nakakalimutan mong may usapan tayo. Kung gus--"
"Oo na, oo na! Shut up na okay? Ang aga-aga ang ingay-ingay!", I shouted, cutting her off.
I grinned when she rolled her eyes in disbelief. Sorry ka na lang, Hara. Nanghihingi ka ng pabor e.
I then grabbed the cloak beside my bed and stood up. Stretching my arms and breathing deeply, I prepared myself for our journey while Pirena waits impatienly near me.
"Ano ba kasing meron sa pupuntahan natin, mahal? Sino ba 'yang Daragang Magayon na 'yan, ah?", I asked when we reached our flying boat.
"Lakampake",she rudely answered.
"May lakampake ka pang nalalaman ngayern ah! 'Kala
ko ba ayaw mo ng mga pananalita ng mga tao?", I chuckled, amazed at how finally, she was learning my language.
She just stared at me blankly and drived the strange vehicle. As the Lirean Castle slowly fades into the white clouds and the sight of earth disappeared, a thought came into my mind.
"Oy, umamin ka nga mahal", I asked out of pure curiosity "Chicks mo ba 'yung Magayon?"
"Chicks? Ano na naman ang iyong pinagsasabi?", she said, obviously not getting what I was saying. Her eyebrows were raised and her face shows a lot of question marks. For a second, I thought she looks cute.
"You know, chicks, lablab, poreber, nobya, minamahal, girlfie---", I elaborated but Pirena suddenly covered my mouth with her filthy hands. I am taking it all back, hindi na cute si Pirena! Kababaeng tao, ang dumi ng kamay! Baboy!
"Nababaliw ka na ba, mortal? Isa akong babae, at si Magayon ay isa ring babae. Paanong mangyayari ang iyong sinasabi?", I heard her say the moment her hands were finally away from my luscious lips.
"Una sa lahat, walang nagsabing porke't babae ka ay bawal ka ng magmahal ng kapwa babae. Pangalawa, bakit puro dumi 'yang kamay mo? Tagapangalaga ka na rin ba ng brilyante ng lupa ngayon?", I muttered, busy scraping the dirt off my face.
She glared at me with those anime eyes and continued driving as if I said nothing. I glanced at the boat's 'steering wheel' and noticed how full of mud it was. Kaya naman pala.
About twenty minutes after, I heard the Queen sigh. Probably thinking that I wasn't staring, Pirena wept quietly. As silent tears keep falling down her cheeks, and as she keeps on manipulating the boat, hoping that this time, it will finally bring us to Magayon, I saw a glimpse of the real Pirena. Not the fierce-looking and dauntless Sang'gre, not the Queen who carries herself with too much pride but HER, the person who worries too much, the damsel who is always in distress and the imperfect Encantada she is. She gets tired, she cries and she might get tempted to do vile things at times, but that's what is great about her.
Sana talaga this time, gumana na 'yung plano namin. 'Pag nangyari yun, sasaya na 'tong babaeng malaki mata na ito. And I'll do anything help her.
"Pirena, sa tingin mo makakarating na kaya tayo kay Magayon?", I asked, with eyes full of hope.
"Sana", she answered, the evil queen now completely gone "Matulog ka na nga muna. Baka bukas pa tayo makarating doon"
