Part 14: Smoothie Date?

Riele's POV- I've been in my room all day trying to avoid Jace.

I'm getting quite bored though.

I decide to scroll through Insta and see Jace's account.

Ugh.

He has a new pic with that girl he was talking to. "💗" that was his caption.

I roll my eyes a throw my phone.

Is this his idea to get back at me?

Because it's kind of working.

I finally come to my senses and get out of my room.

I decide to go get a smoothie downtown.

I don't see Jace at all when I exit the building, but I do see the girl who he was talking to.

She's outside on the phone and looks up when I walk past her.

"Omg, you're Riele Downs!" She says.

"Yep that's me!" I say trying to be happy.

"Oh my gosh I loved you in that one movie! You were so good, with Jace in it! Funny thing, I actually met Jace today and gave me his number. I think he likes me. Do you think he likes me? I hope so because he's hot I'm hot, perfect match!" She says non stop.

Oh my gosh what does Jace see in her?

"So, do you mind taking a pic with me?" She asks.

"No, not at all" I say.

She takes the pic and keeps talking.

I look at my fake watch and say I have to go.

She nods and walks off.

Gosh she was annoying.

I get to my favorite smoothie place.

When I walk in I instantly regret it.

There he is again.

Jace.

I can't believe this.

I totally forgot that Jace loves this place too. But why did he come right now?

He's talking to another girl again. Flirting.

My body stings. I hate to see him flirting with another girl.

I try to stay out of Jace's vision but it's kind of hard since this is a small place.

Jace gets his smoothie and turns around to see me.

He immediately leaves the girl he's talking to and comes my way.

I instantly start shaking. Why is he coming my way?

I have my head down and see Jace's feet approach.

I look up to meet his eyes.

"Hey Ri, fancy seeing you here. I'll be over at that table if you want to talk." He says and winks.

Okay I lowkey found that hot.

Wait, what?

But why is he acting like nothing happened?

Why is he acting like this?

I get my smoothie and head over to where Jace is sitting.

"What's up?" He says as locking his phone.

"Nothing much I guess" I say awkwardly taking a sip of my smoothie.

"How's life since you dumped me in New York" he says.

"Excuse me? I didn't dump you. We weren't even together" I say starting to get mad.

"Okay, whatever you say" Jace says taking sip of his smoothie

Jace looks at his phone.

"Oh, gotta go. I have a date. Catch you on the flip side" Jace says getting up.

Why is he acting like a jerk?

I just sit there and think about how dumb he is. But he's irresistible.

Then my phone buzzes.

It's from Blake.

Blake: Hey babe, sorry I haven't been replying to you, it's just a lot going on lately. I love you. I hope you're not mad ❤

I don't even feel like replying I'm so mad.

Then I got a solution. If Jace can act like that then I can act like that too.

Here comes a new Riele.
