Chapter 4: I Like You, Chatmate

Start from the beginning

What? Taga-rito lang siya?

HiM: Where in the PH?

GiD: QC

Oh-kay. Pareho lang pala kami ng lugar ngayon.

HiM: Great!

HiM: Uhm, how old are you?

...

Ang tagal naman sumagot. Baka pati ako pinagtripan nito.

GiD: 16

Seriously?

Ugh. I thought she was older than me.

HiM: Nice.

GiD: Why?

HiM: Nothing. Still studying, right?

GiD: Yup

Wala man lang any emoticons. Haha, demanding ko!

HiM: Do you like music?

GiD: Yup

HiM: Same

GiD: Ok

Yun lang? Walang 'really?' o 'nice!'?

HiM: Yeah. Saang school ka?

GiD: Why do you ask?

HiM: Nothing. I am just curious, yun lang. :)

GiD: Bridgetown High.

Schoolmate ko pala 'to?

HiM: I see. What are you doing now?

GiD: Nothing.

HiM: Alright.

...

GiD: Just answering your questions.

O_O

HiM: Ah okay

GiD: Yeah :)

Nag-smile na siya. Haha!

HiM: I'm just curious.

GiD: Of what?

HiM: Why is it Gangstress in Despair?

Gangstress in Despair is typing...

Ba't ang tagal ng sagot? Baka detailed yun ilalagay niya. Hehe!

GiD: Long story.

Toinks! Yun lang pala yung reply T_T

HiM: I have plenty of time.

GiD: You sure?

HiM: Yeah.

GiD: Ok.

Gangstress in Despair is typing...

Ito na! I was really interested in knowing her.

.

..

...

....

.....

GiD: It's confidential.

-_-

Pwedeng pumatay... ng hayop?

Ugh. Langya, akala ko sasabihin na nya.

GiD: But... Can I trust you?

O_O

HiM: Yes!

GiD: Promise?

HiM: Absolutely.

It took longer for her to reply and I was thinking na baka pinagtitripan na naman ako nito. But I waited.

GiD: Alright... I came from a broken family. Before I went to the Philippines, I lived in the States. Every day was like hell for me there, they were always shouting or even throwing things in front of me. They never cared about how I felt when they were doing that. Until I decided to join gangs...boy gangs. There, I understood the word companionship--- caring for each other's affairs, helping with each other's problems.

HiM: That's really awful. Sorry to hear that.

GiD: Yeah. I became rebel against my family until I decided to go away from them. I wanted to change myself, away from troubles and problems.

Medyo kawawa naman pala siya.

HiM: So you've decided to be here?

GiD: Yup. New life. New faces. I just want peace of mind.

HiM: I think you deserve it.

GiD: I know. Thanks.

HiM: Really. It's my first time to hear somebody shares her problems.

GiD: Glad to be your first.

HiM: Exactly. Are you alone then?

GiD: Yup.

HiM: But you're now okay, right?

GiD: More than okay.

GiD: You sound so concerned there. :)

O_O

Sh*t. I didn't notice that.

HiM: Uh, yeah. Hehe.

GiD: Do I make you feel something?

Yeah. I just realized that. And I like the idea that I like someone even if I don't see her personally.

HiM: Sort of? :)

GiD: I have to go. Until next time, HiM! :)

HiM: Wait!

...

HiM: I really hope to see you soon.

I waited but she did not reply. I guess I should wait for another day kung kelan siya magre-reply. I couldn't wait to find out who she is at school.
