As you're aware you need a gmail account to be added to be chat [which you've already provided], next on the list of what you have to do would be to edit your profile.
If you've not used Google Hangouts before it's very likely that your default username is your email address. You can edit your account by checking the setting on the app, or website (hangouts.google.com). You can also edit it via you email (both on the web and mobile) by simply editing your email account.
When you've gotten into the chat (make sure you're visiting The Orientation Discussion. The different chats and their functions will be explained with time.) I'll provide the links to the useful documents you have to bookmark (like the master doc, introductory note and the word count spread sheet.)
You'll have to fill out your Wattpad username and the name you use on Google hangouts. There's also an option to fill out your birthday. You'll have to add your name to the word count spreadsheet and pick up at whatever point in the month you jonied in.
The members running the orientation chat will take you through this so don't worry.
After you're done you're free to visit the Writer discussion, Tinker Center and Link board. (Their functions are explained on later part of this book.)
